🚨Morgan Gibbs-White on his altercation with Elliot Anderson after Nottingham Forest’s victory over Manchester City:
🗣️ Morgan Gibbs-White: “I waited to speak to Anderson after the game. I was hoping we would win, and thankfully, we did.
When the final whistle went, I went straight towards him and called, ‘Hey, Anderson.’
He turned around, smiled, and I said, ‘I’m sure when you left here for all that money, you thought you were going to come back, smash us and take the three points.’
I looked at him and said, ‘So tell me, how does it feel to be on the losing side?’
‘You left us because you thought we were only going to fight relegation. So how does it feel to get beaten by the same team you ran away from?’
He looked at me and said, ‘Morgan, you have to move on. Stop crying and enjoy your win.’
I laughed. I said, ‘Crying? Mate, look at my face. I’m smiling because I just won.’
‘You’re the one walking back into that dressing room after losing. Your manager is going to question you. My manager is going to clap for me.’
‘So tell me, Anderson, who exactly is crying?’
He just shook his head and said, ‘You’re still talking.’
I said, ‘Of course I’m talking. You gave me something to talk about.’
‘You left Forest because you thought you were going somewhere better. You wanted the big move, the big money, the big club.’
‘And tonight, that big club came here and got beaten by the team you thought was beneath you.’
Then I told him, ‘Anderson, you’re a snake, mate.’
He looked at me and said, ‘A snake?’
I said, ‘Yeah. You know exactly why I’m saying it. You don’t get to walk away from us, come back wearing another shirt and then tell me to stop talking after we beat you.’
‘You wanted to leave. Fine. Nobody stopped you. But don’t expect me to forget what happened just because you’re standing on the other side now.’
He told me, ‘You’re making this bigger than it is.’
I said, ‘No, you made it bigger when you left. Tonight just reminded you what you left behind.’
I wasn’t angry that he left. Players leave clubs all the time.
What made it funny was the confidence that came with it.
He left thinking Forest were going nowhere, and tonight Forest beat Manchester City while he was wearing their shirt.
That is football. Sometimes it gives you the perfect answer without you having to say anything.
But I still wanted to say a few things.
I told him, ‘Enjoy your big move, Anderson. Enjoy the money, enjoy the new club, enjoy everything you wanted.’
‘But whenever you come back here, remember one thing this is still our home.’
And tonight, we made sure he felt that.”

Utter lies. Phil handed his shirt to a little girl holding up a sign, had a pic with her & fans thanked him & says keep going & keep your head up. A City scarf was thrown at him which is what is on the pitch. Stop Lying

City fans clearly not happy after their 3-1 loss to Nottingham Forest, their 3rd in a row in the Premier League
