I see this as a girl who is sacrificing herself to save his best friend. BIG STATEMENT!! Let me put in perspective. I will explain in simple words so that any squid brain can understand. Sakura loves Sasuke very deeply, Naruto also loves Sasuke as a friend. Naruto promised Sakura that he will bring back Sasuke and started to pursue sasuke's retrieval. When Naruto and Sakura meets Sasuke for the first time in Shippuden, Sasuke was so much stronger and darker. He was ready to MURDER Naruto in cold-blood. Upon seeing the interactions, Sakura thought, if Naruto keep trying to save Sasuke, then Sasuke might kill Naruto. So to save Naruto from this dangerous goal, she PROPOSES to Naruto and assumes that Naruto will accept it and will stop going after Sasuke. This could be a STUPID move from Sakura, I totally agree. But she did the best thing she can do at that moment. It was "NOT A SELFISH" decision. It was the most selfless act a girl can do. She might be useless but she doesn't deserve all this hate.
