I’ve seen tweets from scholars complaining about how they wrote their papers independently, without using AI, only for peer reviewers to feed their papers into AI tools and provide AI generated reviews of their work. You can choose not to upload your documents to AI tools, but how do you stop a reviewer from doing so?
I’m begging y’all, don’t ever upload your raw data to any AI platform. You risk losing the originality of your work, and it might become unpublishable. A word is enough for the wise.

There was a chap at Oxford who came up in the 80s to research the 4 year tenure of a Yorkshire bishop. He spent 40 years on it, draining an inheritance left on condition it was spent on his education. Daily Mass (sometimes several times a day), lobster every day at Brown's next to the Oratory (hence the gout), magnificent dinner parties for miscreants, oddballs and grad students, and generous to charity. His fingers were so fat that his signet rings appeared stuck to them. Having spent every last penny, he was evicted from his apartment and became a monk some 3 years ago. No wife, no kids, and I don't think the DPhil ever got finished. Top 5 most eccentric human beings I’ve met in my life. Bless him.
When I was at U Chicago we had a 53rd year PhD defense. They started a career in grad school and remained ABD until after retirement. All of our completion stats were skewed because they never officially left the program.

The fact that MC Olumo, a known thug, is etched permanently in public discourse on governance reflects the uselessness that pervades our pretend democratic state. We are an unjust society, very far from Grace, God, and anything pure.

The people that have hacked life are the very poor people and the extremely rich individuals. Those in the middle(lower, middle-middle and upper-mid) are the real workhorses. They are scared of the bottom and are chasing the top.

We are politicians. Our constituencies just vary. Politics is life. With that said, I am throwing my hat in the ring. Watch this space.

The moment you publish anything, you have agreed to walk naked in public. Your thoughts take a life of their own, and you are not immune from criticisms and feedback. Disagreement on your thesis is not an attack on your person. I'm just trying to know you and your argument better

Hey, I don't have all the answers. In life, I failed as much as I have succeeded. But I love my wife. I love my life, and I wish you the kind of success...
