Genuine question: why do we more schools pursuing the D1 level given the NIL landscape compared to schools leaving D1? In my opinion, this just goes to show that SFUs transition to D3 is not an athletics problems

Thanks Scott! People need to know that you and your NIL group never got the chance because this was a pre-planned move by the TORs! @John_Fanta please share this! It might save other small D1s from suffering our fate. Asking you as a favor for a fellow @SIHSCleveland alum! AMDG

As a proud Saint Francis alum and former men’s basketball player, I’m heartbroken and disappointed in the decision by President Malachi and the Board to walk away from Division I athletics. It’s not just a step back—it’s a rejection of everything so many of us have worked for.

When myself and other alums present a NIL collective, and the school admin make 0 effort to adapt and accept changes, this news is not surprising. Also when the school is dominated by student athletes, how do they think this transition will lead to more money/opportunities.
NEWS: Saint Francis will move from Division 1 to Division 3, the school announced.
