Wonder how long until conversations spin up about how Collegiate is now the most sustainable T2 angle and it's not even kind of close. A lot of these spurned T2 orgs should be furiously taking notes on how Maryville built out their partnerships the last few years.

You mean to tell me that the schools carry the bulk (or all) of the OpEx, set your players up for long term success regardless of pro play outcomes, AND there's a symbiotic relationship where both parties benefit from eachother's existing brands/communities?
Weird. Sounds decent I guess.
All of these respectable orgs getting put in tough spots with the partner decisions is truly sad to see.
If I was one of them, I’d prove Riot wrong and pick up an established FA team for OQ (one with a ready-to-go content team and big brands among their players!)
