I hope this search and rescue drone also has allowances for 5+ lb payloads to drop snacks to hungry stranded hikers 😀
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

We need to treat formal verification as a y2k style large scale coordinated effort
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. i am looking to join a low-velocity team that knows when to stop interating. i would relish the opportunity to work on problems that have already been solved, at a place with a compelling vision of the status quo. if you're building something nice-to-have, let's connect

i don't use an "agent multiplexer", i don't have a "software factory", i don't run "adversarial reviews", i enter a single detailed prompt into the TUI, and if the results are garbage I KILL MYSELF

Jensen reveals where his childhood love of night markets comes from "My mom and dad loved it. We would come to the night market. When we go out to dinner, that's the definition of going out to dinner. You don't go to a restaurant. We didn't have money like that. We'd just go to the night market and sit at these tables." "I was looking for a restroom so I wandered off. I walked up to this guy, this cook. I was about to ask him if there was a restroom somewhere. He was cleaning his knife, and my face was right next to his knife. It cut me right across my face. I was almost five. My dad picked me up and ran me to the hospital." "I always loved the night market after that. I always had a fond memory. The food was so good. I loved the place." "I loved everything. I loved all the people. Everybody's working hard for a living. They're working so hard, and they still want to share a little something with you." "They don't have much money. Their profit margin must be a dime each. They gave me all their profit, just to be kind. It's the Taiwanese way."
