Had a great time at the @UofR_Football camp earlier this week. The coaching was great and I got to learn a lot. Can’t wait to get back on the field and compete this season.

Nothing can make me happier than sharing my love for Thinking Maps with the entire BAMS staff. The excitement in the room was electric! Teaching Students how to Think using a Shared Common Language. GO BAMS!

I love finding new ways to appreciate our hard working teachers! Thank you @kjones_m for the "Pick Me Up Posse" idea. As we ended Q 1 strong at BAMS, we wanted to thank our staff for a job well done! @BerniceAyerMS @CapoUnified #notyouraverageschool

The BAMS Team traveled to Salt Lake City to continue our learning on how to best meet the needs of all our learners. We are so thankful to learn ourselves from the best of the best! Thank you Dr. Muhammad! #atplc @SolutionTree

Ecstatic for @MarcoForsterMid math teacher Sergio Sanabria to be among this incredible group of OC Teachers of the Year! #Capoproud
Tears, laughter and complete shock were just some of the emotions that six teachers had when Superintendent Dr. Al Mijares and OCDE representatives walked into their classrooms unannounced today. These educators are 2023’s OC Teachers of the Year. newsroom.ocde.us/ocde-makes-…

Though many are in survival mode, remember that student learning is our top priority. Being mindful of that fact will actually reduce stress and anxiety and focus our work. The main thing is still the main thing.

Thank you @cjakicic for teaching us how to utilize learning targets to create powerful CFAs. BAMS put this into action right when we returned to campus! And solo cup team builders, never disappoint! #breakerstrong #plc

I feel so inspired and lucky to have had many opportunities to listen to the amazing Dr. Anthony Muhammed over the years. From 2017 to 2021, a lot has changed, but the work and drive to do what is right for students, has not. Thank you @newfrontier21 for always igniting the fire!

We are so excited to present “The Sunshine Award” to Ms. Caleigh Swanson! She has been recognized by a parent for building positive relationships with students and bringing the “light” to campus everyday! We are fortunate to have Ms. Swanson working with our students at BAMS!

If you want to succeed with a difficult kid… you have to separate the attitude from the student. You don’t lower your standards, but you understand that there is always something motivating the behavior. Understanding leads to empathy… and empathy makes relationships possible.

Everything changed for me when I started asking, "Does my grading system instill fear or hope?" That's honestly all it took. My job is not to terrify kids of failure. My job is to help students see their potential and growth.

The BAMS Grading Coalition was in full force today to engage our staff in meaningful dialogue about what grades mean to us as educators and what they mean to our students. A true team effort to provide quality PD even in this crazy school year.#atplc@BerniceAyerMS @lauralyon67
Great schools continue to learn and improve, even during pandemics. This group of courageous, passionate, and incredibly smart leaders led our school through PD on best grading practices today. Exhaustion is no match for passion. So proud to learn from them! @tguskey

The "elf" admin crew were busy delivering breakfast on the last day of this crazy semester! It is the very least we could do for our teachers and staff who have worked so hard and always remembered to "Keep the Main Thing, The Main Thing!" We appreciate you BAMS family!
