The election is over, and we won nationwide, but the work is NOT done here in Florida y’all.
Now, we build political and economic power and shoot for a better future. We continue building a reality where working people call the shots.
This is just the beginning of our journey Florida, and that’s why I’m launching Never Scared PAC.

Kamala Harris paid attention to the South for years, before others realized something was brewing on the ground. She focused on uplifting local leaders and boosting turnout in districts Democrats had forgotten. These stops don't even include all the fundraisers she hosted in CA for Southern candidates. Stop disrespecting her work.
"Some Democrats have just basically said, 'Oh, that's nice if you wanna do some work in the South, but we can't win the South, therefore we will not put the resources into it.' That's a huge mistake… and if we're going to be a party that cares about all the people, we have to put the resources into speaking with them and most importantly, first and foremost, listening."

We’re just getting started, Florida. 🔥
We broke Republican supermajorities. We won seats despite racist, gerrymandered maps. We flipped races up and down the ballot that the political establishment had written off. And we showed the entire country what people power can accomplish in Florida.
THE WORK DOESN’T STOP HERE.
Tomorrow at 8 PM ET, we’re coming together for OUR FLORIDA: NEXT STEPS — a statewide mass call to celebrate what we accomplished, reflect on what we learned, and organize for what comes next.
You showed up. You made history. And now, we’re going to build on it.
Florida’s future is ours to shape. And we’re just getting started.

Scott Colom is poised to do the impossible: flip Mississippi blue. He’ll be the first Black U.S. senator from Mississippi since Reconstruction.
And when he does, it will be because of conversations like this. Going to MAGA rallies and talking to voters in line.

The Mississippi Senate race is an extraordinary story. If you dig up the history between the two Scott Colom (Dem) vs Cindy Hyde (GOP). This guy Colom was minding his own business and was on track to be a district judge (local bi partisan choice btw) under Biden.
But Hyde Smith the current Senator wouldn't give her approval, she blocked Colom's nomination and that was the end of his district judge path. So last year Colom decided to run against Hyde Smith. He is within striking distance of becoming the first black Senator for Mississippi since 1871, and the first Dem Senator since 1989.
Extraordinarily, Scott Colom is on track to win the uncalled Senate race in Mississippi (the last margin I saw was 39 votes but the remaining count favours him, as Kornacki shows in this clip).
Colom is a black attorney who ran on a "Common Sense" economic-populist platform aimed at daily life: gas, groceries, healthcare and closing hospitals, plus Medicaid expansion. He won many switchers, and the Republican vote collapsed. That’s how a race which was classed likely or safe Republican until the final week was flipped.
This will turn out to be a more than ten-point swing in a poor red state in the Deep South. Swing voters are more volatile than ever, especially when they’re economically hard pressed. They respond to common sense, and they’ve decided Trump and the Republicans are not on their side.
Fierce attacks on Colom’s socially liberal track record on some issues didn’t dent him. He said he was Christian and has always been “pro-life”, but that he would trust his daughters to make their own decisions.

Where have we heard this song and dance before?
Oh right, Georgia in 2020. When Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock flipped both Senate seats blue at once, by campaigning as a package deal.
Gina Hinojosa met with Beto O’Rourke before running. "Not one person can win Texas," he told her. "It has to be two." She and Talarico ran as a ticket, each appealing to different areas and demographics. Together, they changed what’s possible in Texas. theatlantic.com/politics/202…

The South is not a "lost cause". It's underorganized, underfunded, and relentlessly suppressed & gerrymandered. And despite it all, Black Southern voters have shown up anyway to be the conscience of this country throughout our history. I hope people realize that.

This will make a lot of folks in Pritzker World happy. Illinois’ governor donated $1.2 million to Hinojosa’s campaign. Recall: Abbott sent busloads of migrants from the border to Chicago in 2022 and 2023 with no coordination. For Pritzker, this race was personal.
