Exactly what I’ve been saying since this idiotic closure of #oxfordstreet was announced. People with disposable income who want to shop in stores like Selfridges, tourists & anyone with a mobility issue want easy convenient travel inc cabs. Death to commerce there #London.
I’m a cabdriver in London and 3 times this morning passengers have asked me to take them to Selfridges and John Lewis. I say I can’t get them there, they say is it a demo, I say no it’s closed permanently. They decide to go Harrods instead. Business killer.

The most interesting thing about this clip is that no one talks like this on TV anymore. Straightforward straight talking honesty. Now it’s 95% moderate “what we think we should say & what viewers want to hear” and 5% GB news style “be deliberately provocative”.
