People often ask me "Who are the 29% of Americans who still support Trump?" It is people like this lady. They are all really dumb and there are tens of millions of them in America.

ELON!
Well, let’s just say this is not a humanitarian act. NO! It certainly isn’t. Attacking ambulances is more than just a war crime. ELON! The drone operator is NOT some poor lad forced into combat; what you’re saying is just an excuse on your part.

Applebaum: Ukrainians died after a decision on Starlink disrupted the front line, making it harder to anticipate incoming missiles and warn people. Trump turned on Ukraine, Musk joined him. Neither wanted to take responsibility for the deaths. 1/

Russian casualties from Ukrainian drones have passed 300,000 since January 1. That is roughly 1,000 a day, every day, for almost ten months. Every hit is recorded on video in DELTA and verified by @BRAVE1ua. No month has dropped below 26,000, and March peaked at nearly 34,000. Every Russian soldier stopped by a drone is one who never reaches a Ukrainian position. Verified hits earn units points for more drones, EW systems and UGVs through Brave1 Market. Four Russian soldiers get captured after crawling through a pipe. Remarkable exchange: - Guys, crawl out! Nothing will happen to you! How many are there altogether? - 31! Will you torture us? - Torture? You’re in your underpants telling me everything already.

And the reason why is there is no news about Russian concessions is because they don’t exist. The consideration the Russians give is Kushner/Trump enrichment. That’s it.

Why do think Witkoff and Kushner went to Moscow 10 times to “negotiate peace talks” with Ukraine? It was in large part to discuss the details of a deal setting up the one of the most blatant betrayals by any POTUS in 250-year history to a country we used to support & defend.

Another stunning report, from @antontroian, on another concession Trump wants to make toward Russia. What we have zero news of is what Russia plans to concede in exchange for this—other than money for Trump family allies. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/po…

Wow! U.S. Senator @ElissaSlotkin just said that Trump "wants Putin to win" the war with Ukraine this winter: "I think this president in the past two weeks has laid bare that he's had this longstanding bromance with Putin. I think in the last two weeks it's become very clear he wants Putin to win this war this winter. And he's taking steps to allow them to sell oil and give them money again, to disrupt Starlink, to show the Ukrainians where his hand actually lies. I think that's a huge strategic mistake for the United States."

The UN has appointed Russian diplomat Gleb Desyatnikov as Assistant Secretary-General for Mine Action and Police in its Department of Peace Operations. The appointment places a Russian official in a senior UN role overseeing mine-action activities and police-related work within peace operations. Ukraine is the most heavily mined country in the world after the start of the Russian full-scale invasion. Putting a Russian in charge of mine action is...well, it's hard to find a name for it.
According to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, President Trump's administration has proposed former Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán as a candidate for UN Secretary-General. The United States is reportedly counting on Russia and China to support the idea. The Wall Street Journal notes that Washington not only supported the former Hungarian PM’s decision to enter the race but even suggested the idea to him. According to a preliminary assessment, Orbán could secure eight votes on the UN Security Council "without much difficulty." To receive an official recommendation, a candidate must secure at least nine votes from the Security Council's 15 members, with none of the five permanent members (the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and France) voting against (i.e., exercising their veto power). Rumors of Orbán's potential candidacy could be part of the ongoing negotiations between the United States, Russia, and China. Orbán is seen as a compromise candidate, combining loyalty to President Trump with close ties to Moscow and Beijing. For Moscow, having its own person in the UN's top administrative position could mean pro-Russian influence within the organization's structures. During his time as PM, Orbán repeatedly criticized and blocked EU sanctions packages against Russia and opposed military assistance to Ukraine. If Orbán becomes UN Secretary-General, Ukraine and Europe could face increased diplomatic pressure, particularly over sanctions and negotiations on Moscow's terms. The Office of the UN Secretary-General sets the agenda and prepares official reports. It is possible that under Orbán, UN institutions could shift their focus away from documenting Russian war crimes and violations of international law and instead seek to obstruct the establishment of a special international tribunal and efforts to secure reparations from Russia.

🇺🇦 🇺🇲 The confrontation inside Trump's Ukraine peace negotiations is now coming into focus. Le Monde reports that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spent nearly three hours pitching Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov, a postwar economic arrangement built around restoring Russian oil and gas flows to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines. The meeting took place on October 9 at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida. Witkoff presented the proposal as a regional prosperity plan: Ukraine would collect transit revenues, Europe would receive cheaper energy, and Russia would regain access to commercial routes disrupted by the war. Budanov saw something fundamentally different. According to a witness cited by Le Monde, he objected that the arrangement would recreate Ukraine's dependence on Moscow. “Our model is not Belarus, but Poland!” he reportedly replied. The meeting was interrupted, and Budanov called Zelensky. When talks resumed, news arrived that Trump had announced a separate agreement with Putin involving Russian diesel. Le Monde reports that an irritated Witkoff then demanded that the Ukrainians accept the arrangement and stop striking Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks endangered the wider world. A source familiar with the Ukrainian delegation described its members as exceptionally distressed by the encounter. The account adds a revealing dimension to the commercial negotiations we have been tracking. The proposed Lukoil asset sale, Novatek's involvement in an Alaska LNG venture, the broader US-Russia list of business opportunities reported by the Financial Times, and now the proposed restoration of Russian energy transit through Ukraine all point to the prominence of energy deals in Washington's diplomatic approach. These are separate proposals, with different participants and legal circumstances. But Le Monde's reporting exposes the strategic disagreement underlying them. For Witkoff, restoring commercial flows appears to be part of the mechanism for producing a peace settlement. For Budanov, according to the account, those same flows threaten to restore Moscow's economic leverage over Ukraine. The reported exchange also raises a question about sequencing: why was Kyiv being pressed to stop attacking Russian refineries while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure? Le Monde's reconstruction relies on accounts of a private meeting. The reported exchanges have not been independently confirmed by the participants. Source: Le Monde
