We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

18 years ago Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline Glastonbury & trolled Oasis when they said rap had no place there. He came on stage playing their song Wonderwall & then flipped it into 99 Problems and destroyed the stage 😭
JAY-Z has four #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100
- Umbrella (with Rihanna)
- Empire State Of Mind (with Alicia Keys)
- Crazy In Love (with Beyoncé)
- Heartbreaker (with Mariah Carey)

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽
all that damn money and paramount has the nerve to have the shittiest user interface of streaming services!

Beyoncé is one of the few artists people repeatedly try to cancel for doing absolutely nothing. She’s not online, she donates, she has never spoken negatively about anyone, and she supports artists behind the scenes without seeking praise. She’s a mother of three who has been in the industry for more than 30+ years, yet she’s hated for simply existing.
According to the public, she’s this evil mastermind, with no proof, no evidence, just viral conspiracy theories. It’s a literal representation of how Black women are treated. villainized for simply existing. 💡

Happy 45th birthday to the legendary Beyoncé.
Making her debut in 1990 with Destiny's Child, she has built a lasting legacy by raising the bar and breaking barriers with each new era. Known as a vocal powerhouse she has headlined 7 tours grossing at least $100 million, the most out of any female artist in history. Her impact on music and pop culture is undeniable, she is credited for changing the Global Release Day to Friday and transforming the production, distribution, promotion, and consumption of music. She is also credited for popularizing surprise drops and visual albums. Billboard has named her the Greatest Pop Star of the 21st century and she has won 38 Grammys throughout her career — the most for any artist ever, male or female.

Sorry the way Ryan keeps going on about needing time to himself to recover his energy from his performance, as if he just done a 20 day arena tour?? Sir you’re a motivational speaker not Beyoncé??? #loveisblinduk
