Meet @sourceantai 馃悳
We鈥檙e writing more code than ever, but keeping track of why it works the way it does is getting harder.
For coding agents, that problem is worse. The code might say a field isn't used. It doesn't say that another repository depends on it, or that the reason it exists is buried in an old Slack thread.
SourceAnt keeps the decisions, requirements, and conventions behind your software and brings them into coding agents and code reviews when they matter.
SourceAnt keeps the why behind your software available to everyone working on it, human or agent.

Three commercial code review companies now sell the same missing layer.
CodeRabbit: team knowledge, organizational standards, multi-repo context.
Greptile: Knowledge Base MCP, learning and custom context, cross-repo context.
Qodo: Wisdom Base, rules and skills, software map.
That's not a coincidence. Review was the entry point. Memory is the product.
The open question: who owns that memory, and where does it run?
If it lives inside one reviewer, you leave it behind when you switch tools. If it lives in your repository, on your infrastructure, it survives the switch.
That's the difference we at sourceant.ai/ are building around.

Greptile published its own review numbers:
79% of comments were nits. 19% were good. 2% were wrong.
Address rate: 19%. After a clustering filter built from upvoted and downvoted comments: 55%+.
The fix wasn't a bigger model. It was a filter built from comments developers had already judged.
More comments is not a strategy.

An AI agent changes a shared function. What else could break?
Other components may depend on that function, even if they aren鈥檛 part of the original change.
That鈥檚 why understanding dependencies and connections matters before modifying code.
Can your AI agent see the bigger picture?

73% of developers now use coding assistants and agents daily.
Only 48% trust AI when they can easily validate the answer.
Both numbers are from Stack Overflow's 2026 survey.
That gap is the whole problem.
Picture a 10 MB upload limit. Not because 10 is magic: because larger uploads used to exhaust the worker's memory.
The code shows the number. It doesn't show the outage.
A reviewer working from the diff alone is working without that reason.
If your team ships with agents: where does the "why" live today? A Slack thread? Someone's head? A doc nobody opens?

Before making a code change, an AI coding agent needs to understand more than just the files.
It needs to know how the code is structured, how dependencies connect, and why certain decisions were made.
Give your AI coding agent the context it needs.

Every team has that one person who knows how that one system works.
The person everyone calls when something breaks because nobody else knows where to start.
But what happens when they鈥檙e on vacation?
Has this ever happened on your team?

What is an AI coding agent?
An AI coding agent can be an AI assistant that does more than answer coding questions.
It can write code, identify bugs, make changes, and help complete software development tasks.
Think of it as a coding assistant that can take action, not just give advice.

A small code change can have a bigger impact than you expect.
It could affect dependencies, connected services, or other parts of your codebase.
That鈥檚 why understanding the context behind a change matters.

Your codebase is a building renovated a thousand times.
Every wall moved, every window skipped had a reason. None of it was written down.
Now AI agents are renovating it overnight, with zero memory of why anything is the way it is.
That's the gap SourceAnt closes.

Every codebase has decisions in it that nobody remembers making. Someone had a good reason, then they moved on, and the reason went with them.
Then an AI agent shows up and "cleans it up." That's the gap we're building SourceAnt to close.
