🚨NEW HENRY NOWAK INFO🚨
Henry's family have revealed:
-The family were told that Henry was the aggressor.
-They were asked about his political views.
-They were not shown the bodycam footage.
-A press release was drafted, naming Henry, and describing him as the aggressor.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Yann LeCun and Randall Balestriero just Proved the Platonic Representation Hypothesis, and found a better way to achieve it.
The Platonic Representation Hypothesis suggests that AI models trained on different modalities, like images and text, eventually learn similar representations of the world. But this paper shows that how models are trained matters more than simply scaling them up.
So they mathematically show that, under certain conditions, two JEPAs trained completely separately can learn essentially the same underlying representation of the world. One learns from different images of the same scene, while the other learns from different descriptions of that scene, without ever being trained on image-text pairs.
Their approach achieves the same image-text alignment with 42x fewer training samples than next-token prediction. A 109M-parameter text JEPA even outperforms LLMs up to 72B parameters on cross-modal alignment benchmarks.

LLMs accumulate a lot of declarative knowledge.
That's how they can answer a large number of questions.
That's also why they require so many parameters and hence so much memory.
But one can replace the accumulation of knowledge by *understanding*
That what JEPA world models do.
That's one reason they can be useful with considerably less memory and training data than LLMs.
This paper merely shows that the underlying similarity structure of the data, whether text or image (e.g. co-occurence of words in text or objects in images) uniquely determines the shape of the representation point cloud, when the encoder is trained trained with a common anti-collapse criterion like SIGReg or VCReg (not by reconstruction).

We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math.
It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training.
We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! 🧵

I want to apologise to my followers for telling people to “vote hard R” in the mid-term elections.
As an Australian I didn’t realise that “hard R” has bad connotations in America. I just meant to vote Republican

Ukraine is not committing genocide in Sudan. UN experts attribute hallmarks of genocide in the conflict to RSF paramilitaries; unverified accusations of Ukrainian support for the RSF lack public evidence and contradict prior reports of Ukrainian actions against them.

We have used Bend2 for the last few weeks. Here is an honest review:
Bend2 is what happens when an inbred type theory autist decides Haskell is for fucking casuals. No type inference. No type classes. No tactics. Want to prove something? Write the fucking proof yourself. Dependent types with absolutely none of the ergonomic bullshit. Also, affine types because apparently full linearity would be too much commitment. The ecosystem is nonexistent, the learning curve is a vertical cliff, and writing trivial programs feels like defending a PhD thesis.
9/10. Still too accessible to JavaScript developers.

UPDATE: Since our last update, two more countries have reported disruptions to supermarket refrigeration systems, bringing the total to seven countries affected across Europe.
🇸🇪 Sweden and 🇧🇪 Belgium appear to be among the hardest-hit countries, with multiple supermarket chains and stores experiencing significant disruptions and food losses.
🇱🇺 Luxembourg has also reported incidents affecting Delhaize stores.
🇮🇪 Ireland has seen refrigeration disruptions at 13 SuperValu stores, forcing chilled and frozen products to be removed.
🇳🇱 The Netherlands has reported incidents at at least 17 businesses, primarily smaller retailers, butcher shops and food-storage facilities.
🇪🇪 Estonia reported a cyberattack targeting refrigeration controls, with freezer temperatures reportedly reaching +50°C. The incident was detected and addressed within approximately 10 minutes, preventing major damage.
🇫🇮 Finland has reported only minor, limited-scale temperature irregularities in some K Group stores. The situation there appears significantly less severe than in other affected countries.
The situation this morning in Europe:
A cyberattack is disrupting supermarket refrigeration systems across several European countries, including Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Estonia and Ireland.
• What is happening: A vulnerability in specific refrigeration control software is allowing attackers to remotely manipulate freezer systems, causing temperatures to rise as high as +50°C.
• Supermarkets are facing massive food losses, with fresh, chilled and frozen products being discarded due to food safety risks. Some stores have experienced temporary closures and delayed openings.
The issue involves connected refrigeration systems whose software and security vulnerabilities are being exploited, allowing attackers to interfere with temperature controls remotely.
Retailers are responding, working with cybersecurity specialists and taking affected products off sale to protect consumers.

BREAKING:
This morning’s cyberattack against supermarket fridges and freezers has now spread to Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg and Estonia.
The hackers increased the temperature up to 50C. Food worth millions of euros has been spoiled.
Experts warn that such cyberattacks on supply chains and logistics can constitute a threat to national food security in many Western states.
