🔴"Access to oxygen is not a medical luxury." With Israel blocking the entry of spare parts and medical supplies, Gaza's hospital engineers have been forced to salvage parts from damaged machinery just to keep equipment running. At Al-Shifa Hospital — once the largest medical facility in Gaza — engineers have managed to restore only around 15% of the hospital's equipment. "We now collect equipment damaged during the [Israeli] ground incursion and the bombing of the hospital … dismantle matching equipment of the same type, salvage and repair the parts, and then reassemble the equipment.,” Ahmed Younis, an engineer at Al-Shifa, told Drop Site. “But the equipment is not operating at the level of efficiency it is supposed to.” As of June 2026, WHO reported that the principal barriers to health facilities being rehabilitated in the Gaza Strip were a lack of medical equipment, affecting 97% of facilities, and shortages of medicines, affecting over 80% of facilities. The Ministry of Health has also issued an urgent warning that Gaza’s few remaining oxygen plants are operating beyond capacity and breaking down. In parallel with the decimation of Gaza’s health care system, Israel is continuing to severely restrict the number of Palestinians allowed out of Gaza to seek treatment abroad. Some 300 Palestinians have died waiting for medical evacuations since the “ceasefire” went into effect, according to the Health Ministry, with 20,000 patients waiting for authorization and only around 2,000 being allowed to cross so far.

I renew my appeal for an end to the ongoing violence against the Palestinian civilian population in the West Bank, and I urgently call on the international community to work toward advancing the two-state solution, for a just and lasting peace.

💢🇵🇸 Israeli forces and settlers continue to escalate attacks on the occupied West Bank, with 504 reported attacks in the past week alone, according to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission. ◦Hebron: Israeli authorities ordered the demolition of an elementary school and several homes in Masafer Yatta on Tuesday, WAFA reported. In the Bedouin community of Yatta, Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian house and filled in a water well. ◦Ramallah: An Israeli attack on the village of Al-Mughayyir wounded six Palestinians on Tuesday, two of whom were women and three of whom were children, with Israeli forces firing tear gas on the village inhabitants as they plowed their fields, according to WAFA. ◦Jenin: Israeli authorities summarily demolished 12 warehouses in Anza on Tuesday, WAFA reported. On Monday, an Israeli military court sentenced Ata Rmeilat-Abu Rmeileh, a 67-year-old Fatah official from Jenin, to 42 months in prison and fined him more than $1,650, after detaining him without charge for nearly 3 years and with his health deteriorating. ◦Nablus: Israeli forces injured six Palestinians during an incursion into Burqa on Tuesday morning, two of whom were children. In Tal, Israeli forces conducted a raid on Monday before demolishing the home of Farouq Ramadan, a Palestinian who, while being attacked late last month, grabbed a settler’s gun before being shot dead by Israeli settlers. ◦East Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Governorate announced on Tuesday plans by Israeli authorities to build 650 new settlement units on 27 dunums of land in East Jerusalem near Umm Tuba.
Today, the occupation army violently forced us out as we tried to bring food to a Palestinian family under settler siege. The family is trapped inside their home with no food, water or electricity. The army forced us to leave — while allowing the settlers terrorizing the family to stay at their house. Full report from Qusra🇵🇸 tomorrow!

⭕️ Two Israeli female soldiers photographed themselves posing beside a young, blindfolded Palestinian detainee who appears to be a minor and proudly posted the image on Instagram. The post, which circulated widely online and was reviewed by Drop Site News, was uploaded by Israeli soldier Nikol Stelmashvski as part of a 20-photo carousel containing additional images from her time in Gaza. Her account [@ nikol.stel, IG] has since been made private after the photo drew public backlash. The image is the latest in a documented pattern of Israeli soldiers publicly sharing evidence of Palestinian detainees being humiliated or abused. Such conduct violates international humanitarian law, which prohibits the degrading treatment of detainees.

Rutgers Engineering class of 2026, here’s your speech!  The speech is just as I had written it before Rutgers rescinded my invitation over my advocacy for Palestinian human rights and freedom. Violating the principles of American democracy in the process. Given the events of the past week, I added an introduction and reflection bookending the speech. You can find the original, unaltered convocation address — the one Rutgers was so afraid of you hearing from: 2:20 to 25:24. Hope you enjoy it and more importantly that you get something from it.  Like i said, we're counting on you. p.s. The two minute introduction I mentioned is here. The link to the full speech is in the first comment. p.p.s. Sharing some context in the replies in support of the things I shared in the introduction and reflections. If there’s one value to all of this, it’s the education and community it will build.
Speech drop coming… Raise the flag... Let’s be proud of who we are. They can’t erase us. They won’t silence us. Truth, Justice, and the American Way Free speech and free Palestine.

Most decent people, by definition, view the liberation of these Ridglan beagles as a feel-good story. They were bred to live short lives of sadistic (and utterly gratuitous) government-funded experiments, then unceremoniously killed, and instead now are living as dogs should. But this is because activists spent years working for this outcome, often arrested and even investigated by industry-controlled FBI and state legislatures as terrorists. They deserve immense credit and respect for their success.
Running circles is way more fun when you're out of a Ridglan cage! And your new brother teaches you how to play! (Turn sound on for the squeak!)

School staff: We're pouring into students' SEL every day—but are we investing in our own?  Teaching is emotionally exhausting. With burnout rates still high (~50%+ for K-12 educators), we can't effectively support kids if we're running on empty.  Time to model what we teach....🧵

⛪️ April 7 | Pope Leo calls for all to reject war, warns of economic and energy crises The Pope issued a direct appeal from Castel Gandolfo, calling on Americans and citizens of all countries to “reject war” and violence.   Addressing the ongoing United States and Israel’s war on Iran, the Pope specifically urged ordinary citizens to contact their political leaders and representatives to demand an end to the hostilities. Leo XIV warned of a "worldwide economic crisis" and an “energy crisis” already underway as a result of the instability caused by the “unjust war” that is "continuing to escalate and... is not resolving anything". The Pope described the threat against the entire Iranian people as "unacceptable" and noted that attacks on civilian infrastructure violate international law.
BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV declares the Iran War is “unjust” and “is not solving anything.” After suggesting Trump is committing war crimes by targeting civilian infrastructure, he called on Americans to contact Congress to help end the war.

NYT published two articles explaining U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran, but both rely entirely on U.S. and Israeli officials. Neither article quotes Iranian officials, independent analysts, humanitarian groups, or civilians, nor mentions civilian deaths or damage to hospitals, homes, schools, or water infrastructure, @loffredojeremy found: 👇
This week the New York Times published two articles devoted to explaining what the United States and Israel are targeting in their war on Iran. Across both articles, the description of what the bombing campaign is hitting is sourced entirely to U.S. and Israeli officials: a “senior U.S. military official” speaking anonymously, the Pentagon, U.S. Central Command, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the Israeli military, and Israel’s ambassador to Washington. Neither article quotes Iranian officials, independent analysts, humanitarian organizations, or civilians inside Iran. Neither article makes any mention of civilian deaths or the destruction of civilian infrastructure, including medical centers, water desalination plants, apartment buildings, mosques, or schools.

If Israel insists on destroying civilian targets in Lebanon, let them buy and build their own weapons. American taxpayers should not be funding this.

If Iran has been at war with the US for 47 years and it was inevitable that we waged major war back -- as Rubio and Ben Shapiros now claim -- shouldn't Trump have mentioned that during the campaign? Not just "Iran can't have nukes" but "if I win, we're going to launch major war against Iran." He repeatedly said the opposite.

🚨 ISRAEL REIMPOSES TOTAL SIEGE ON GAZA Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza, including Rafah, “until further notice.” COGAT says humanitarian staff rotations are postponed, meaning no aid personnel can enter or leave. Israel falsely claimed: “The substantial quantities of food that have entered since the beginning of the ceasefire amount to four times the nutritional needs of the population… Therefore, the existing stock is expected to suffice for an extended period.” UN says less than 170 of the daily 600 trucks have been entering Gaza drive the ceasefire began.
📢📢📢The IDF and the U.S. Army have launched a broad, joint operation aimed at fundamentally targeting the Iranian terrorist regime and removing long-term existential threats to the State of Israel. Accordingly, several necessary security adjustments have been implemented, including the closure of the crossings into the Gaza Strip, among them the Rafah Crossing, until further notice. The rotation of humanitarian personnel is postponed at this stage. It should be emphasized that the closure of the crossings will have no impact on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.* The substantial quantities of food that have entered since the beginning of the ceasefire amount to four times the nutritional needs of the population, according to the UN methodology. Therefore, the existing stock is expected to suffice for an extended period. COGAT will continue to maintain continuous contact with the international community and will provide updates on any developments.
