An average importer / exporter maintains 4 bank accounts. These accounts started as a workaround, but ended up introducing new issues around fragmented liquidity and operational overhead. Introducing Specie (@SpecieFinance), a single account for global trade businesses.

It's all about the destination amount. It's not "send X, maybe receive Y with some fees." It's "send X, receive Y," no surprises, in real-time, and with some of the best FX rates in the market. See for yourself: specie.finance/quote

Brasil🇧🇷 + Argentina 🇦🇷and LATAM importers/exporters still deal with painful cross-border payments, FX, supplier payments and treasury workflows every day. That’s why I’m really excited about what @speciefinance is building: global accounts, local rails, FX and treasury tools designed specifically for trade businesses. Really proud to have Specie as one of @blend_money partners. Great product, great team (shoutout to @frankiedigiac), and very relevant for our region. If you’re an importer, exporter or trade business in Brazil/LATAM, this is exactly the kind of partner you need to!

It’s insane how fast we build at Specie. SWIFT implemented, 8 real-time payment methods, over 124 countries supported, virtual accounts, custom invoicing, billing, contact creation, treasury product, reporting, security… All built for finance teams.

Wow. Just paid one of our vendors and it was cheaper and faster than wise. I’m still amazed of our own product. @speciefinance

Spent the week in São Paulo🇧🇷 talking to freight and export businesses. These conferences are always insightful because you realize some businesses have solutions that work. They’ve spent years building bank relationships, hedging FX, and setting up entities across different regions. Others haven’t. That gap is the opportunity.

When you start working with a new supplier or buyer, payments are not the biggest concern anymore. Trust is. Every importer, exporter, freight forwarder, and consultant we’ve spoken to has dealt with this. The system forces you to take that risk, especially when cross-border payments take days and offer little visibility. We’ve improved a lot of that. Payments on @speciefinance settle in real time, FX is transparent, and you can hold USD while earning yield without forced conversions. We've seen that having the money NOW builds tighter relationships, but speed alone does not solve the core issue. The advantage is when you are dealing with vetted counterparties, have context on who you are transacting with, and settlement is instant, 100% free, and predictable. That changes how you approach new relationships and changes how we are building Specie.

In Brazil, Poupança is the most popular investment tool for the common business. But honestly, it's not "saving" much. You are losing potential earnings and it's useless. > You earn ~6% in Poupança > BRL inflation is around 4.2% > Now you're at ~2% in earnings > FX risk and local politics are not even taken into account Additionally, half of your costs, imports, and investors are increasingly dollar-linked. Why put your savings into Poupança when there are better USD options? > Open a USD virtual account > Push cash into short-term U.S. Treasuries at 3–4% > Do business in dollars and convert to local fiat when needed We support this exact workflow at specie.finance for 124+ countries and counting. Treasury is now a cross-border problem, which creates more opportunities. Local savings products like Poupança were never designed for that reality.

Every fintech eventually rediscovers the same thing. Users don’t care about the underlying infra. They care about where the money ends up, how fast it gets there, and how much is missing. We're building for transparency at @speciefinance.

We don’t think businesses should choose between yield and liquidity. It’s just another problem with cash flow visibility. Specie allows yield on liquid balances 😉

The future of business banking is: - One interface - Global reach - Transparent fees, yield & rewards - Instant settlement Not 6 logins and a relationship manager on vacation. Pain.

One of the most important parts of building @speciefinance is designing for non-crypto natives. 70%+ of our users have never touched stablecoins. They’re the future of money movement, but the workflow has to meet users where they are.

Excited to announce what we've been working on the past few months. A lot more work to be done! Specie - Modern banking for global businesses

Specie replaces fragmented banking with a single, global system. Unified liquidity, built-in controls, and local payments - plus approvals, compliance, invoicing, cards, and yield. Global trade doesn’t need more bank accounts. It needs Specie.
