One Speekl, two ways to start speaking:
π§βπ« speekl.com: book live lessons with real tutors
π€ speekl.ai: practice with your AI tutor, day or night
Better together.
Ten short English phrases you will hear every day and rarely find in a textbook.
"Sounds good" says yes to a plan. "Fair enough" accepts someone's reason. "I'll keep you posted" promises an update.
All ten are in the last image, save it for later.
Meat and cheese at a US grocery store are priced per pound, about 450 grams. At the deli you order by weight: "Half a pound of turkey, sliced thin."
At the register you get the same four questions every time, starting with "Did you find everything okay?"
You're great at your job. Can you say it in English?
The interview, the client call, the pitch, the salary talk. That's where careers move, and more and more of it happens in English.
Your next raise starts with a conversation. Rehearse it first: speekl.ai
The pump at a US gas station asks for your ZIP code, and a card from abroad often fails right there.
Go inside and prepay: "Thirty on six, please." That's $30 on pump six. Pick regular, 87, and remember the price is per gallon, about 3.8 liters.
Learn car English in the US, then rent a car in London, and half the car has a new name.
The hood is the bonnet, the trunk is the boot, the windshield is the windscreen and gas is petrol. Even the tire becomes a tyre.
Both are right. Pick one and stick with it.
Ordering at a US restaurant is mostly answering questions. How would you like that cooked, fries or a side salad, what kind of dressing.
Have your answers ready, order with "Can I get the burger?" instead of "I want", ask for the check, not the bill, and tip about 20%.
Lots of people understand a language fine and still go quiet the moment a real person is listening.
Start with an AI tutor. Nobody's watching, mistakes get fixed mid-sentence, and you can repeat the scary sentence until it's boring.
Then take it to a person.
Most English classes teach you to answer "How are you?" with "I am fine, thank you, and you?" Almost nobody says that.
Small talk is a few small moves. Answer short, add one detail, then pass it back. All six moves are in the last image.
You don't need to finish the grammar book before you open your mouth. Your first sentences will be clumsy whenever you say them, so say them now.
Six ways to start speaking any language sooner, all in the last image.
If you understand English but freeze when you speak, nothing is wrong with you.
Understanding and speaking are two different skills, and most study only trains the first one.
Speaking gets better one way: out loud, with someone who catches your mistakes.
Posting on X in your second language is stressful. One wrong tense and the whole post reads off.
In a Speekl lesson, paste your draft. Your tutor shows what's wrong, explains why, and lets you fix it yourself.
Better posts, and you keep the rule for next time. πͺ
Speekl isn't only a place to book human tutors anymore.
speekl.ai is our AI tutor. You talk out loud, it corrects you without stopping the conversation, and it remembers where you left off. Any hour, no booking, free to start.
