CN ➕ EN: Oneiric Protocol
// contains spoilers below
Part 1/?
📌 In the second image, Xia Yizhou specifically uses the word “关联” when picking a name, and this word translates to “connection/link” which the EN text omitted. The original CN sentence shows that Xia Yizhou didn’t really like the name MC gave him because it sounds too impersonal, and has a lack of a connection to MC.
Therefore, he chose the name “big brother,” for himself, and the unspoken sentiment behind this decision is: “brother” creates a familial tie & relation to us—it sounds like we have a close relationship, which is why he prefers this name > Xia Yizhou. 🥰
