out of linguistic curiosity, is there a similarly grating prevalence of vocal fry in any language other than english? I’ve never encountered this particularly heinous manner of speech in any other language, at least not that I’m aware of. every time I hear it, I have to actively stop myself from becoming misogynistic.

To be honest, unless you legitimately suffer from seasonal depression, this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. I take my vitamin D (and K), and I specifically go for early morning walks, and I adore the early dark because I make rituals for it. Winter is my favourite season.
