This is not intended to be an indictment on Okongwu.. but I must say
Regardless of who was on the court last night.. the Heat players didn't see enough resistance on the perimeter (that's on our on-ball defenders), and they obviously had ZERO fear attacking the paint against our bigs (Onyeka and especially Jock). Miami pretty clearly made it a point to get inside and challenge the Hawks to stop them.. we couldn't.
Bam and Giannis got what they wanted (not incredibly surprising).. Pelle Larsson, Davion, Wiggins, Bobby P got a lot of what they wanted too.
It's just the eye test, but it didn't look like they were second-guessing whether or not to attack the paint.. alternatively, there were a multitude of times the Hawks declined to try Giannis and Bam.
