— #AgainstTheCurrent (#兰香如故) | #tansongyun #liuxueyi This drama really showed amazing character development. Not one supporting character went to waste, and even the so-called “villains” aren’t simply black or white (with some exceptions of course). The ML isn’t a red flag, but he’s not a complete green flag either. There’s growth in every episode. Everyone is flawed in their own way, and I love that the drama actually gives them room to make mistakes, face the consequences, learn, and become better. No one feels like they’re there just to move the plot along. They all have their own stories, motivations, and struggles that make you understand why they are the way they are. And maybe that’s what I love most about it. It doesn’t ask you to see people as simply good or bad. It reminds you that people are complicated, growth isn’t linear, and sometimes becoming better starts with recognizing the parts of yourself that still need changing. 💯

#LongVacation wrapped up !! Hope seyoung has time to take a break 💖

— #kimsohyun | #betweensteps love this article ‘Applause for the Courage to Say No’ "The message Kim Sohyun conveys to audiences through her portrayal of Lim Youjin in ‹Between Steps> is one that exposes the hypocrisy of society's notion of 'normality' and presents the courage to face failure. In a world where certain paths appear outwardly glamorous and everyone is expected to follow them (as though doing so is the only 'normal' way to live) the character Kim Sohyun portrays embodies the courage to say that's not how life works."

— #theremarriedempress read a few k-blog reviews for TRE (some from those who read the original, and those who have not) and most of them were worried and felt the embarrassment (mainly because of the unfamiliarity of seeing asian actors in a western-style background) but because of the acting in the show, they’re still looking forward to the next episodes

currently watching TRE, and I’m loving it so far! honestly, I don’t think anyone looks awkward or out of place in these Western-style costumes, from the leads to the supporting cast

if fantagio doesn’t add eng subs soon, i’ll sub their latest seyoung video
