I feel so bad for young guys who take women's advice on dating, they'll tell you in one breath that if a guy wants to date a girl he needs to Get To Know Her First and then turn around and without a shred of reflection complain about their male friends having feelings for them

I've literally SEEN how this "strategy" plays out IRL: guy spends years as a girl's "best friend" as she dates other guys, then finally has a "realization" and dates the guy for a few months, only to break up and start dating some other guy.

My favorite thing about wacky GOP antics from the Obama era is that every single thing your insane conservative uncle predicted at Thanksgiving 2011 came true.
- They ARE using your money for Abortions
- They ARE pushing the gay on Children
- The illegals/foreigners ARE stealing jobs
- New York City IS ruled by Islamo-Marxists
- The debt IS exclusively welfare fraud

I have a foreigner from Venezuela (probably 35 years old) who bought the 10 acre field next to mine (for $240,000)
He started a concrete company and requests payment in cash. His wife started a tax service and he is her “customer”.
He speaks very little English. His wife and crew speak no English.
He drives a brand new F-350 dually and is building what looks like a 3,000 sq ft home on his $240,000 lot.
Imagine that. You drop yourself into a country totally foreign to you. You have whatever money you scraped together before leaving your 3rd world shithole. You don’t speak the language and know only the other foreigners from your clan who arrived before you.
You want to start a business? That requires capital, advertising, business licensing, employees, a reputation.
You cannot tell me these people are doing this without serious help: preferred loans, grants, subsidies, tax avoidance.
I’ve started 3 businesses. One thing I’ll tell you is it has been like pulling teeth over the years getting a loan for ANYTHING when you own a small business, unless you have YEARS of solid tax returns to show.
But this guy someone got financed for raw land, plus a construction loan, probably $750,000 in total?
And it’s not just him. It seems like every brand new truck at the gas station is being driven by a foreigner with no English.
This is not envy. We are very clearly being invaded and someone is helping the enemy army with my tax dollars.
2 years ago I lost a very lucrative contract to a crew of Hispanic foreigners who we outperformed by every metric (including pricing), all because the customer’s management was also Hispanic foreigners.
But we’ve all held our nose because we were told they were all going home. What a crock of bullshit that was.
So yeah people are about to snap, and when they do it’s going to be biblical.
Just FYI as someone who works in consumer tech and sees a whole lot of conversations online daily: people are starting to snap. Between the price of everything and being surrounded by these foreigners who don't belong here who are somehow better off than our own people who are struggling and the politicians who are enriching themselves and kissing Israel's ass on TV all day people have had enough. It's a pressure cooker out there.

Have you ever considered that maybe your view of the Gospel is wrong, and not the one held by the 2,000 year old institution started by Jesus Himself?

That message is repeated in multiple ways at every Mass, whether it be in the readings themselves, in the homily, or in any of the various prayers. What's more every Catholic has to receive religious education before experiencing the sacraments of the Eucharist or Confirmation.

You don't believe Jesus is God
You don't believe in the Trinity
You reject the Nicene Creed
You don't even believe God is God according to your cosmology
You are polytheists, not Christians.

The designs are horny, but they’re not feminine.
High fashion (run by gay men), love women with broad shoulders, thin hips and strong jaws. This is omnipresent is Hades 2 designs.
Those traits are not actually common in normal women.

The Catholic Mass in AD 155
St. Justin Martyr describes early Christian worship:
Scripture readings
Homily
Prayers for all
Bread and wine offered
Eucharistic prayer & “Amen”
Eucharist received as Christ’s Body and Blood
Deacons distribute Communion
Alms for the poor
(First Apology 65–67)
The Mass didn’t appear in the Middle Ages. Its roots are in the earliest Church.
I’m watching a Roman Catholic Mass on TV. So far, a priest has bowed to a table and kissed something on the table. He’s reading something and people are saying things back to him. Now he is praying. Now a woman is reading from Isaiah. Singing. The woman is reading one of Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. Singing. The priest is reading from Matthew. Now he’s explaining the passage that he read which was about paying taxes. Give to Caesar what is Caesar and to God what is God’s. He bows to the table again. He reads something and the congregation responds. The woman reads something else. The woman leads in prayer. The congregation responds again at certain points in the prayer. The priest reads more. Music. The priest is at the table preparing a cup. More words and responses. Singing. More words from the priest. Talking about the last supper. Singing. Priest praying. Priest singing something over the cracker and wine. More singing. Praying the Our Father. More sing. More words from priest. He then eats the cracker and drinks the wine. More singing while the congregation comes to get their crackers. Moment of silence. Prayer. Priest dismisses congregation. Priest kisses something on the table again. Priest bows to table again. The end.
My take: The gospel wasn’t preached. It was all ritual and very dry. I don’t see how anyone could come to faith in Jesus in that environment.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Per the post itself, the priest read from Matthew and then explained the passage, which constitutes the Gospel proclamation and homily in the Mass.
