Like so many, I am nowadays to be found not here on the black X but instead on the butterfly place. Similar-ish username, just without_ that_ pesky_ trailing_ underscore_.
So sorry to see this, xitter.gq/stjohnscam/status/1866… . Andrew and my father were good friends since they came up to Cambridge in the 1950s. Andrew conducted my dad's (scarcely attended) funeral in March 2021, which must have taken great reserves of character.
A renowned Hebrew and Bible scholar and former Dean of Chapel of St John's, once described as 'the best preacher in England', has died at 87.
The Rev’d Dr Andrew Macintosh, a Life Fellow at St John’s, died on 5 December.

I’m now on the slightly delayed 1108 from Haywards Heath towards Eastbourne.

I paid extra to travel before my railcard validity this morning, so that I could be at Bexhill before noon.
The person I’m travelling to see has to leave at 2pm.
These delays combined with Southern’s failure to connect your remaining hourly “services” means arriving at 13:13.
For Formula 1 fans I think @MissedApexF1 podcast is essential listening… and the recent “No to Andretti” episode featuring @SpannersReady’s spirited argument with @joesaward was an absolute humdinger!
