Seeing Starship fly yesterday gave me goosebumps because it’s so crazy ambitious.
An arguably even more complex engineering challenge is being solved by the team of @proximafusion, in Europe!

Congratulations to @proximafusion who have just raised €411M, now valued at over €2.4B! This makes it Europe's best funded and most valuable fusion company, and brings the commercial fusion power plant one step closer to reality. Proud to double down. cherry.vc/news/the-first-com…

Somebody said that World Cup is just the US having a giant sleepover with the cousins we never see because our parents hate each other. 😂

This was absolutely insane and an experience I'll remember forever :)
Co-Founder of $ARM says they only exists because Intel (@intel) refused to change their microprocessor design in 1990 and shares how they built the first ARM chip was built:
"Intel didn't want to change their design especially for us - I was the Steve Jobs of the UK at the time, I was very arrogant...I said "well you get lost we'll do our own!".
"The first advantage I gave [the team] was no people. So it's the only microprocessor in the world that was designed by two people rather than 50."
"The second advantage was no money because we didn't have any. So the only way they could do it was by keeping it really, really, really simple."
"A side effect, which was actually not a design requirement, a side effect was that because it was so small, it consumed very little power."

.@CherryVentures raised €500M with one goal:
Back Europe's first trillion-dollar company.
Their bet? It might not be another AI model.
@chrismeermi, Founding Partner of Cherry Ventures explains: "AI is very energy-hungry. All these data centers need lots of energy, and that needs to come from somewhere."
So Cherry backed @proximafusion, a fusion energy company.
The logic is simple: If AI is the future, energy production is the bottleneck.
They're also backing @QantGmbH, making photonic chips that work with light instead of electricity. Much more efficient.
Sometimes the biggest outcome might not be the most obvious one.
