I know we all know this but I feel it's worth reminding:
When an 80 yo pt (on hydrochlorothiazide) presents w falls/weakness, the rib/hip x-rays & the CT brain may be less helpful than checking a Na level
I see it 2-3 times a year. Eventually someone checks a Na & it is 110
