The Media Project Management (COMM 453) class welcomed 3 community partner organizations into class yesterday. Over the course of the spring semester, they will be working with Butler County Parks & Recreation, Fishing for Memories, Inc., and In Toto Community Resource Center.
This capstone course is intended to develop student mastery of the emerging environment of digital information through a community project-based, team-based course. The class takes a community-engaged learning approach..
which involves students in activities that attend to address community-identified goals and interests while developing their academic skills, applying their digital media skills, and commitment to their communities. #communityengagement
As part of the Senior Seminar Capstone course, students prepare a presentation discussing their personal brand and preparedness for their careers after graduation to judges from the industry.
