designed for the @SuperteamIN where the challenge was to redesign your favourite solana app. i picked @JupiterExchange perps and asked one question: what does someone who has never opened a leveraged position see in the first five seconds? designed the screens and states for a first-time trader, built a full design system, and landed here. let me know your thoughts on this!

i dont think a beginner needs a simpler perps app, they need to see the risk before they trade. thats what i tried on mobile. price and chart first, dotted labels that explain the stats when you tap them, and risk drawn on the chart as lines. drag the take profit line and you see +$28.42 on a $50 trade at 5x before you commit. i think thats how it should work

i've been around prediction markets long enough to know most of what i learn comes from building. i'm going to start building on @Lighter_xyz. a prediction market share settles at 0 or 1 and then it's done. a perp never settles, it just keeps running. been trading for a while now, mostly to understand what i'm building for. you see things from the other side of the screen that you never would from the code.

combos were 70% of @Kalshi's notional last weekend, and @Polymarket has more than half its volume in it too. the biggest markets right now aren't single yes/no bets anymore, they're parlays. and parlays don't trade on an order book. next up, how that actually works.

People are eventually going to become less involved in the actual engineering.” A thought that stuck with me from an exploratory call with an engineer at Assert. We need a better platform for raising tickets, one that can automatically resolve issues in a verified environment, run test cases, and compare UI diffs before and after every fix. Imagine a world where reporting an issue is just the beginning, and fixing it is largely automated. Stay tuned. Something exciting is coming soon.

how @Polymarket works from the engineering side. it's a hybrid exchange. orders are signed off-chain, an operator matches them, and a smart contract settles the result atomically. you keep custody until the trade settles. a thread

the money, in april 2026 polymarket moved collateral from usdc.e to pUSD, an erc-20 backed by usdc, alongside new exchange contracts and a rewritten clob backend. outcomes are erc-1155 balances. 1 pUSD splits into a yes and a no, and a pair merges back docs.polymarket.com/v2-migra…

resolution, where the market settles. most ctf markets register a condition and ask uma's optimistic oracle. the short up/down markets uses a chainlink twap. either way the result is reported to ctf, and winners redeem against it
