[2/6] Performance is king. 👑 Most SVGs in our apps are static; they don’t need the heavy overhead of specialized full SVG spec rendering. 🔬Nano Icons give you the speed of font-based rendering without losing multi-color complex shape support.

We just launched Velonos! It’s a desktop app for anyone using AI with sensitive data. 🔒 You type: “Prepare an NDA between Northwind Ltd and Martin Keller.” ChatGPT gets: “Prepare an NDA between [ORGANIZATION_1] and [PERSON_1].” Redaction runs fully on-device.

Impressive tool 🤯 You can handle all your internal or personal documents without worrying about the agent provider companies ever knowing the sensitive data. None of those ever leave your local machine while using the full compute potential of the frontier models to get the job done 🔥
Finally I can share with you a thing I was working on for a past few months. It's called Velonos and in a few words, it's a privacy gateway that filters the traffic that goes to chatGPT, Claude and Gemini, scans the documents and prompts and hides a sensitive information and restores it in the answer when it comes back. Most important part is that everything happens on the device. Here's a link and I will share some more details in thread. velonos.ai/?utm_source=x&utm…

Mobile md-based chat apps are about to advance to another level 🚀
Code blocks in Markdown can now be anything you build 🧩 Enriched Markdown hands every fenced code block to your own React Native component, picked by the tag after the ```. ```mermaid → a live chart ```rail → a Shinkansen timetable, in a custom format made for this demo No fixed list of supported diagrams: if you can draw it in React Native, it can live in your Markdown. Every component in the demo is powered by Reanimated. Demo below👇

We just released ruNNtime v0.2.0! We’re building it as an agent-friendly tool, based on TypeGPU, that lets you port your models from research frameworks to the web. A lot of cool stuff landed, so check out the rest in the 🧵

Don't let your agents talk you out of massive perf gains 🔇. Tell them to try out TypeGPU, and let them find out on their own!

In react-native-screens v5, you'll be able to customize the animation presets you know from v4, or go fully custom and define the animation of each screen property yourself. Android is in progress, iOS coming soon. We're open to feedback, so let us know what you'd like to see!

🎙️ @discord has been running on React Native almost since day one. In the new episode of our podcast, @chasjhin, Director of Engineering at Discord, joins @aleqsio to talk about how React Native has helped the team move fast, what it took to get "to the other side" of the New Architecture migration, and why working side by side with library maintainers makes a difference. 🤖 They also explore why giving AI agents the tools to test their own work is so important. Text and layout got faster in React Native ⚡ iOS 🍎 + Android 🤖: setNativeProps props parsed only on change, 87% fewer text measurements Android 🤖: ellipsized text no longer shapes its hidden part, 58% fewer janky frames in a feed iOS 🍎: Yoga layout up to 27% faster in animations, no more dynamic_cast for every child Android 🤖: text layouts share one JNI reference, ~3× less reference creation 4 PRs, profiled and measured on real phones with @argent_ai_ 📱

LFM 3 dropped on Tuesday. It’s in Private Mind today. LFM 3 1.7B for chat, LFM 3 VL 2B for photos – both running on-device, no cloud AI. Ask it which pumpkin is the scariest. 🎃 Free & open source. Update now.

Working on a ReservedRegions a component that exposes iOS's reserved regions. You can use it to get the coordinates for the fold, status bar area and camera area below the screen on iPhone Duo. It's a low-level API, but you do some pretty cool stuff with it.

Your Markdown spoilers, haunted 🎃 In Enriched Markdown for Android, you can swap the spoiler overlay for your own drawing. To show what that unlocks, we built a haunted house in Jetpack Compose. Every room hides its guest book a different way. Cobwebs, crypt fog, jack-o'-lanterns, ghosts, bats, dripping blood, one candle… Trick or treat? See what's hiding 👇

Same story on iOS 27 with the navigation bar. It can minimize on scroll, but only if it knows which list to watch. Wrap the list in ScrollViewMarker and it just works.
Liquid Glass tab bar not minimizing as you scroll? The native UI needs to know which list to track, and React Native doesn’t always get it right. 🤷 ScrollViewMarker in react-native-screens 5 lets you point at the right view instead of fighting the heuristic. Replying to @reczko_konrad
@reczko_konrad wrote a horde-survival game with no engine. Renderer, game logic and every shader in TypeScript with TypeGPU, the same code on web and mobile, up to 120 FPS. An Expo App Awards entry, and a good one. Would you ship a game without an engine?
