We launched two products that make it significantly easier to integrate staking into any platform: the stakefish Multi-Chain Staking API and the stakefish SDK.

More ETH and SOL staked than ever. Both pay less than they did three months ago.
Staking yield, Q2 → Q3 2026, per @Bitwise:
ETH: 2.81% → 2.63%
SOL: 6.38% → 5.99%
Both fell 6% in one quarter. The causes differ.
Ethereum: 43.8M ETH staked at quarter end, 35.9% of supply. Rewards split across a bigger pool, so more stake means a lower rate per ETH.
Solana: 69% of supply staked. Issuance falls on a fixed schedule, so the gross rate drifts down by design.
New issuance made up more than 96% of Ethereum's staking yield. Priority fees and MEV were a small part.
If your forecast still uses last year's rate, it's time to update it.

Glamsterdam is set to bring ePBS to Ethereum.
Now: relays hold the block and report the bid.
Next: builders stake 1 ETH+, bid over p2p, and the protocol enforces the payment. Relays become optional.
512 validators check each payload arrives on time.

Ethereum has 15% fewer validators than a year ago. It also has 22% more ETH staked.
Staked ETH: 36.11M to 44.06M
Active validators: 964K to 817K
Consolidation explains the gap between validators and stake. Pectra's EIP-7251 raised the max balance per validator from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. One validator can hold what 64 used to.
Three things for stakers:
1. Validator count no longer tracks stake.
2. A smaller validator set means fewer messages and signatures across the network.
3. Merges run through their own queue. That queue holds 616K ETH today.
Solana just switched consensus. 🏔️
Phase one of Alpenglow is live, and Votor now finalizes blocks in milliseconds instead of seconds.
Big day for @solana and the @anza_xyz team. Here's what changed, in 22 seconds.
🤖 Made with AI
Alpenglow is now live on Solana mainnet. ⛰️
Finality just went from ~12.8 seconds to ~150ms.
The biggest consensus upgrade in Solana’s history, built by @anza_xyz.
What Alpenglow means for stakers:

TowerBFT ran Solana consensus since 2020. Today it retired in one slot. 🏔️
Alpenglow is live, with a finality target of ~150ms.
Congrats @anza_xyz and @solana !
stakefish is now running @get_optimum’s mump2p on Ethereum mainnet.
Faster, leaner propagation means stronger performance, less bandwidth, and more rewards captured.
Proud to build with Optimum as they push decentralized networking forward. Boosted.
🤖 Made with AI
The Optimum team is pleased to announce our first mainnet deployment, mump2p on Ethereum. With mump2p, data moves across all of Ethereum 2-3x faster, boosting validator performance and network health.
$3.4B of Ethereum stake is already being boosted by mump2p, and we’re now opening up free access for all Ethereum node operators.
That's the week. Follow for a new digest every week.

01 / Glamsterdam heads to the Hoodi testnet on October 26, after going live on Sepolia earlier this month. Validators need updated clients before then, and a mainnet date is still TBD.
