Yes team seventeen is about carats but it’s also for their staff and people who work with them. They have said/shown it’s for both many times 😭 I still don’t get why some are mad cause it doesn’t include us when it literally does. two things can co exist

Woozi wrote Sonogong when he was at the lowest point of his life, and during a time when all the members were also going through their own difficult times. This song was created because he wanted to be a superhero who rose from their most broken state.
Woozi has made tons of songs expressing svt's love for everyone who supports them and their fans, and he has written long posts expressing his gratitude to the fans.
Yet you cherry-picked the line "I love my team, I love my crew" out of fucking jealousy.
The members never stop bringing up the name of carat wherever they are. but as soon as they express their gratitude to the crew who also play a part in helping their work, you act like a worm on hot coals
What a pathetic person. Wake up and see how big the world is, so you understand how to treat people with basic humanity.
team seventeen started at caratland in 2022 what are you saying 😭 it’s both carats and svt and their team. calm down my god

like it’s literally illegal for them to be smoking any substance. normal smoking no but anything else 😭 it can land them in trouble
Remember when the whole SEVENTEEN 🚬 topic blew up, and those of us explaining how idol culture actually functions in Korea were instantly attacked and labeled as "boy moms"? (I haven't forgotten how absurd and insulting that whole discourse was.)
Right now, a post titled "What if your bias got caught smoking..." is trending in the HOT category on Theqoo with over 500 comments, and it shows the exact unfiltered domestic sentiment we were talking about:
* Instant 탈덕 (Leaving the fandom):
A massive wave of comments simply reads "탈덕직행" (Straight to leaving the fandom) and "I immediately unfanned". One user put it bluntly: "I could unfollow them on the spot. Honestly, most typical scandals wouldn't even compare to this; I've completely lost all interest."
* Bias vs. Other groups:
"If it were another group's idol, I'd find it hilarious. But if it's my own bias doing this? It's an instant 탈덕 (un-stan). Every ounce of affection I had just completely dried up (정떨어질 듯)."
* The reality check (현타 - hyeonta):
"It's funny for a second, but after laughing, the reality check hits hard and you just end up quitting the fandom." Another added: "The thought of them practicing smoke tricks like that completely shatters the mood and the fantasy."
* Image collapse & hypocrisy:
"It doesn't match my idol's image at all, I'm unfollowing right now." Another noted: "I can understand an adult smoking, but treating it like a party trick or a flex is just pure cringe and disgust (극혐)."
* Basic career awareness:
"The meme might be funny, but being serious for a moment, you're literally a singer. It just makes me think: are you actively trying to get lung cancer?"
I share this not to judge or restart arguments, but simply to offer context on how differently things are perceived locally. Domestic fans navigate a very specific dynamic with idol culture, and what might seem minor to international fans can carry a completely different weight there. It’s always helpful to look at these discussions through the lens of the local culture where these groups primarily operate.
