About last night's #INDvWI ODI in Guwahati.
The atmosphere at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium looked electric. Choc-a-bloc, lots of colour, painted blue. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
While some of the strokes were easy on the eye, batting appeared to be easier than it is when playing Cricket24 on PS.
I wasn't in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday & didn't see the conditions from close. But from what I saw on TV, there wasn't dew in the outfield in the second half. Yet, India's chase was ridiculously easy - thanks to Gill & Kohli, and the West Indies just going through the motions.
I have to say this. The West Indies' tactics in the field have been baffling, if nothing else. Have they looked like trying to take a wicket or build pressure? What's the captain thinking, what's the bowler thinking, and what's the message from the dressing room? #INDvWI

In the context of England being rattled by Razaullah's blitz with the bat at Edgbaston.. I find it amusing that professional cricketers these days rely so much video analysis to make strategies & are all at sea if they have no previous info to make plans. #ENGvPAK
How about making plans based on instinct, game awareness, or even some very basic discipline where you force the opponent to make mistakes. That should be the hallmark of a good captain - I'm afraid modern day captains aren't really up to the mark with reading of the game.
