Today at the Mississippi Literacy Summit, my daughter and I reflected on MS’s climb from 49th to top 10 in reading. She was in 1st grade when I voted for the Literacy-Based Promotion Act, and a big reason why. Proud of her, our teachers & Mississippi. 📚 #MississippiMiracle
What a night for Corinth, Mississippi! 🇺🇸
Tonight our little corner of the world welcomed the President of the United States, and I couldn't be prouder. Seeing the town I grew up in filled with neighbors, flags, and so much energy was something I'll never forget.
Spent today at the Mississippi State–Oklahoma game, walking from tent to tent and box to box. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me in, shared a plate, and told me what matters most to you. Nothing beats game day and the people who make our state what it is. 🏈

Like so many families Lesley and I had to divide and conquer today. We missed her and Baker terribly but it was a fantastic Family Weekend at Ole Miss! #hottytoddy

To God be the glory!
Mornin' from Tupelo!" I had some famous relatives who used to say that, and it still makes me smile every time I get to say it myself. Thank you for having me today.
Great to be home in Northeast Mississippi!
One of the best things about traveling the state is experiencing local traditions. Last night I so greatly enjoyed the The Philips Stew Cooking in Lowndes County.
Thank you Itawamba Community College for having me tonight. I so enjoyed catching up with one of my all time favorite court bailiffs Rusty Burroughs.
