Josh Rock went out last night after averaging 94.14. Only Gerwyn Price and Ross Smith have averaged higher in the first round (they meet tonight). Also only Stephen Bunting could better his five maximums. Harsh, but Josh Rock's woes continue for the time being

Most clubs for whom the current ban is in place have bars anyway, where you can drink until kick-off, again at half-time and then finally at full-time.

I like a pint as much as the next man or women, and I do enjoy a non-league match where there are no restrictions, but I really don't think we need to spend government energy considering a change in this area right now. It's just nowhere near the top of the priorities.

Andy Burnham’s comments about rejuvenating high streets by limiting certain businesses might be misguided when it comes to betting offices (and the impact it will have on job as a resul), but even putting that aside what businesses does he expect will take their place?

Until a government gets a proper handle (and desire/willigness) on taxing multinationals such as Amazon there will not be a fair playing field for more traditional shops to refill the high streets

There are just eight betting shops in each parliamentary constituency now. They provide heavily regulated and legal entertainment to adults who enjoy them plus they employ around 15,000 people. I'm not sure why you equate them to vape shops. Fast food joints do way more damage.

Just how good has Luke Littler been this week? He's finished 32.5% of legs played inside 12 darts. The next best were Cameron Menzies (18.7%), Aspinall (17.3%) and Anderson (13%). Over bigger samples you are truly elite if you are at 10% on that metric. 32.5%!!!
