This is a bittersweet victory. Gov actions were harmful to UMFA members and UM students. Hopefully @HStefansonMB now recognizes the costs of continued interference and will now respect the independence of Manitoba’s universities, and workers’ rights in collective bargaining.

The UOITFA and University bargaining teams met today and mutually agreed to adjourn bargaining today and we will be working with a mediator starting this weekend in an attempt to reach a deal and end the strike.
