To characterize the hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) compartment, we have developed a multi-parameter flow cytometry panel that allows for the assessment of co-expression of various relevant HSC markers in a single tube assay! doi.org/10.1002/cyto.a.24540 (1/n)

Incredible work led by @kim_vanuytsel from @DrGJMurphy lab using #scRNAseq and #CITEseq to profile fetal liver HSCs, finding populations with superior engraftment potential! Read more in @NatureComms and in Kim’s thread below 👇🏻 🩸
Our story graduated from a preprint to a peer-reviewed article 🥳🥳 now out in Nature Communications: rdcu.be/cHZun Follow along to see how we unraveled the molecular signature of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) engraftment potential. (1/x)

Join us for this virtual workshop on tissue regeneration and bridging knowledge gaps between model organisms and human regenerative medicine. With thought leaders from stem cell biology, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, fibrosis, inflammation and more! – at Manhattan, NY
Replying to @janeliaconf
Biologists, clinicians + bioengineers will come together to 1) discuss clinical + mechanistic paradigms in tissue repair, 2) identify key bottlenecks, and 3) forge new frontiers to advance human regenerative medicine. Organized by @karalmckinley @DrShrutiNaik + @LongakerLab (2/3)

Great to see the first PD patient in the Sloan Kettering/@BlueRockTx trial transplanted. This is a milestone in paving the way for hPSC-derived cell replacement therapies - huge congratulations to the team! #Parkinsons #stemcell
It’s official… MSK-DA01 is in the clinic with first PD patient dosed (see info @BlueRockTx tinyurl.com/shkbkvpa). Thanks to everyone involved, most importantly @TabarViviane @MSKNeurosurgery, Mark Tomishima, @biogosi & the @BlueRockTx @sloan_kettering WCM teams and many more

Nice work by @jacobkimmel team..it is nice to see that the rejuvenation signatures appear before crossing over into a new lineage occurs , but rather in the earlier stages of the reprogramming process.
What features of aging can be reversed? In the first release from my program @Calico, we explored this question through the lens of cell identity & found that various developmental programs can be repurposed to restore youthful features in old cells.
