I'm #hiring a behavioral scientist. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy theory driven experiments, like working with an interdisciplinary group of researchers, and want the flexibility of remote work! zillow.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com… @SPSPJobs @behscientist

I'm also really grateful to have found a post-PhD job that so perfectly matches what I was looking for, and I discovered a lot of cool opportunities in government and academic-adjacent spaces while applying for postdocs and jobs. Happy to chat with folks about this process!

I'm so excited to share this paper co-authored with @ShaiDavidai!! We reviewed research across different fields and domains on zero-sum beliefs, where they come from, and their consequences for individuals/groups/societies.

This helps explain why some people hold zero-sum beliefs in some domains but not others, or why republicans and democrats view different issues as zero-sum. We also review the many potential consequences of these beliefs and highlight a need for more causal/experimental work!

We hope this review is useful for people interested in learning more about zero-sum beliefs and look forward to discussing!!

(Also knitting was my fave stress release activity during dissertation writing and I was very excited to finish that cardigan in time to wear it at my defense!!)

This is unacceptable. How many grad workers have struggled to get to campus and do their work on time (because Cornell is holding out on funding basic civic infrastructure)? And apparently 3/4 riders are Cornell associated. Come on.

My colleague Steven Roberts was recently invited to comment on a "debate" about diversity at a @PsychScience journal. His experience was troubling and surreal, and lays bare the very biases he studies. He describes it in this important pre-print. 1/ psyarxiv.com/xk4yu

Jamie (pup) and I enjoyed today’s commute! Views were worth the fact that I’m now sweating in my office from climbing the gorge trail stairs, how does @NeilLewisJr do it?

@CornellMotion I saw 3 ppl denied bus rides today who thought they had purchased Omni passes but their cards read nights/weekends (and this happened to me last week). I think there is an issue w online pass purchase site and it caused frustration for riders and the driver!
