I will never understand how we have reached the point in Canada where synagogue shootings have become so common that they fail to shock. Yet many politicians still stay on the sidelines and those who regularly speak out on social justice remain silent.

DWD has spent many millions on marketing a narrative over the years, & their deep ableism has deeply infected the minds of so-called progressives regarding what MAiD is, creating even more ableist behaviours & dangers for disabled people.
Reminds me of this study that found only 12.1% of Canadians could answer at least 4 of 5 questions about MAiD Law correctly and only 19% knew that terminal illness is not required.

Man doesn't want to care for his wife so has her euthanized instead. And this is perfectly legal. If he'd been this callous with a pet dog people would be outraged! My heart is breaking for this poor woman!
In Canada, this woman - who did not want MAID - was euthanised when her husband (suffering from 'caregiver burnout') pushed for MAID.
The medical team responded to this urgency with lethal drugs, not care.
Here (for now), men with 'caregiver burnout' who bring about their wives' deaths will at least be prosecuted, although almost never given time in prison.
In Canada, lawful Assisted Dying means that Mrs B's death is only a chance to 'share learnings'.

Erfan Soltani is scheduled to be executed by hanging in Iran in 48 hours.
He was arrested in Karaj on January 9 for taking part in the protests. His family was given just 10 minutes to say goodbye. No lawyer. No fair trial. Days later, the Islamic regime sentenced him to death.
Reports now warn the regime is preparing public hangings to terrorize the population. More than 10,000 protesters have been arrested since the start of the 2026 uprising. Many could face the same fate.
The only thing this regime fears is global scrutiny.
Be their voice. Share their names. Expose these crimes. Silence is a death sentence.
