So Azerbaijan is reportedly behind the corruption of the former German intelligence chief. When will Europe wake up to Azerbaijan as not just a source of oil but also a dictatorship that uses unseemly means including repression to retain power? trib.al/ZsaGToQ

Manchester United lost out on three Premier League titles to this disgrace. So did Liverpool. Arsenal missed out on two. Tottenham missed Champions League qualification five times. Arsenal three times. Leicester twice. Manchester United & Liverpool once.
Inter, Tottenham, Villa, Sunderland, Watford, Stoke, all denied a fairytale chance at European or domestic glory. How many clubs trajectories were changed irrevocably because of City's arrogance to cheat so brazenly no matter the collateral damage?
There has been 35 seasons of the Premier League, City's cheating leaves a mark on 18 of them. More than half the history stained with their disgrace. How can they even be allowed to continue playing the rest of the season amidst all of this?
Strip every title & every trophy. Expel City from the Premier League & EFL, exile them to non-league.
Every single penny must be claimed back. The billions in prize money that they stole from other clubs.
The fine must be paid from the club, not owners. £830.7m in fake sponsorship is the starting point.
Which means every star they signed, everyone has to go. Rip them down to the studs & they start again.
Any person involved should be banned from football permanently. Ownership must be forced to sell.
It is the biggest scandal in sporting history. A disgrace on the sport & must be treated accordingly.
They deserve everything that is coming to them. It is beyond words how despicable this all is.
They should play this tune wherever City play.
Also, send them packing to League 2 and strip them of all ill-gotten titles

The Premier League has confirmed that Manchester City have been found guilty of all charges related to breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18.
An independent Commission found that during that time period, the club arranged "sham contracts" with a number of its commercial partners, as well as "relying on sham agreements to artificially inflate the club's revenues and reduce its costs".
The statement also said that City were guilty of the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate, but an exact figure was not given.
Send them packing to League 2 and strip them of all titles from the contravening seasons

Sorry, but calling them "Albanian" churches isn't a "diverging narrative." It's a straightforward lie — and you know it. So why pretend otherwise? Afraid Baku will throw a tantrum? So what if it does? Who needs whom more, exactly?

Deeply diverging views and narratives persist, for instance on origins of some sites and would need to be addressed between 🇦🇿 and 🇦🇲 to also overcome this aspect of past conflict as part of their broader reconciliation efforts. (5/6)

You can't bothsides this. Azerbaijan's Albanization of Armenian sites has been widely debunked. It's cultural erasure. EU officials should be condemning these attempts, not appearing in videos from Armenian monasteries, giggling next to Hikmet Hajiyev.

No. The video shows volumes with one decorated page and blanks, which Azerbaijani officials present as evidence of fake "ancient Armenian manuscripts" from the prior exhibition at Gandzasar.
Such single-spread facsimiles are a standard, low-cost museum practice worldwide to display illuminated openings while protecting fragile originals. Full facsimiles are expensive; real Artsakh manuscripts were catalogued and evacuated to Matenadaran in 2020.
This does not prove historical falsification. Claims of cultural revisionism go both ways in the conflict and require independent expert verification beyond one demonstration.

Albanization of Armenian churches is not an accommodation or even appropriation. It’s conceptual erasure preceding the physical one. Just ask Hikmet Hajiyev: in 2017 he published this map acknowledging [destroyed] churches in Nakhichevan, churches he now says never ever existed.
Together with the diplomatic corps, we visited the Ganjasar and Khudavang churches — an integral part of the ancient Albanian Christian heritage.
Ganjasar was established in the 13th century by Hasan-Jalal Dawla, the Caucasian Albanian ruler, and stands as an important testament to the centuries-old Christian heritage of Caucasian Albania.
During the years of occupation, these monuments were subjected to external interventions under the guise of makeshift “restoration,” compromising their architectural authenticity and original character.
Every historical, cultural and religious monument on the territory of Azerbaijan, irrespective of its origin or religious affiliation, forms an integral part of our country’s rich cultural heritage. The Azerbaijani state is committed to their protection, preservation and restoration.
Azerbaijan’s experience in safeguarding its multicultural and multireligious heritage has earned international recognition. We stand ready to share this experience with other countries, including our neighbors.
We also invite media outlets engaged in spreading fake news and misleading narratives on this issue to visit these sites and see the reality on the ground for themselves.
Seeing is believing.
