He's pure evil, but he's not stupid. Being a floating embodiment of capitalist / feudal decay, of course he'll mourn the waste of a good resource like strong warriors. Under different circumstances he might've been able to purchase their loyalty.

Martin Short's performance as Larry David is hands down the best acting I've seen in my entire life. For a long while I thought it actually was Larry David.
the nfl on fox panel has barely finished discussing the eagles game when they introduce their newest sideline reporter: george santos, a man whose football résumé apparently includes more championships than tom brady and statistics that seem to have been calculated by throwing several sports into a blender. bowen yang plays him with the confidence of somebody who believes a fact becomes official once it's delivered into a microphone. 36 completions out of 25 passes? twelve touchdowns, seventeen rebounds and ten rbis? why stop there? at this rate, he won the super bowl, the nba finals and the world series before lunch. the panel keeps asking ordinary questions, and santos keeps handing them extraordinary reasons to regret asking.

I’m for PR independence. Too long have they suffered under the heel of American imperialism! Free Puerto Rico!
I oppose Puerto Rico statehood, but it’s not unreasonable to support it. I would respect Puerto Rico statehood as legitimate. D.C. statehood is a nakedly illegal and bad faith power grab and if some future administration tried it, I’d consider it a genuine coup d’état.

Psychopaths use a common palybook.
Interesting similarity in verbal trickery: Holmes claimed her machine can run any blood test, but when questioned said she meant in some hypothetical future. DSA types claim "abolish prisons now" but when questioned what to do about a murderer they say they mean prisons will be abolished in some hypothetical future where murder doesn't exist. They change past and present tense depending on who they are trying to fool.

The fact that Edgewise $EWTX was able to unload this asset onto Servier for $1.55 billion in cash upfront with a obviously predictable fail is mind boggling to me. Since these morons bought it, I was unable to make money from this fail.

I thought I said it before but maybe privately, the ph3 Becker trial will fail imo (Grand Canyon). $EWTX

I liked to annoy my neighbors in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a fact. The used Biden sign pictured here was 100% real and not a joke. The homeowners had vehemently supported President Biden with many yard signs for months until his debate. Then they turned on him overnight. Over the years I made the other signs to confuse folks. If you’re going to have fun, why not support a candidate from 200 years earlier? I also made my own rainbow-lettered signs to counter the legion of “real” ones I had to look at everywhere when walking the dogs. I’d make up new phrases and rotate them as they faded.

And I wrote an article saying this was a bit off. I got a load of shit for it, and the editor of a heavy metal magazine published a response where he called me a homophobe. To this day, I don't know why me saying it was bad form for Springsteen to leave his fans in the financial lurch over fellas in knickers not being allowed to shit in the ladies bogs meant I hate the gays. I would have asked, but I wasn't given the opportunity to publish a rebuttal because the people I'd worked with for ten years and an editor I'd known, been friends with and worked for since 1994 decided to throw their lot in with a load of angry blue haired nuisances on Twitter.
In 2016 Bruce Springsteen cancelled a concert 48 hours before he was due to play, leaving 150k fans with nonrefundable flights and hotel rooms, in protest of men being told they couldn't use women's bathrooms. He wrote some cracking songs, but hes not a serious person.

Gender means "when a man says he is male, female, both, or neither, you must give him access to whatever space corresponds to his claim and address and refer to him in language that corresponds to his claim or face discipline by institutions or the state."
Replying to @thefempire50
I think this is the most concise, clear and accurate articulation of what gender is that Iv ever heard.

Apparently 348 taxes are not enough. Say hello to number 349. France plans a 0.8% levy on home, car, and business insurance contracts starting January 1, 2027, to fund a state-backed compensation mechanism for riot damages. The measure follows recent violence and looting. Insurers will pass the cost to policyholders through higher premiums, spreading the financial impact of riots across all French insured parties regardless of their location or involvement. Isn’t that simply hilarious? As response to cost-of-living protests France will seriously make all insurance policies more expensive? Here is an idea, maybe instead of sentencing rioters to 40 hours of social work, make them pay for the damages they cause? Why should all decent, lawful people pay for their violence, while criminals laugh about the lack of serious consequences?

After all the concern and speeches and pressure to remove apartheid, there has been no follow up, not even a mention of South Africa's preciptous decline in Leftist circles. It's like SA doesn't exist.
