Theo is one of the brightest minds in our game. The Cubs waited 108 years for a World Series title. Theo got one in Boston and Chicago putting to bed Two...Two curses. Everyone’s a critic. Take it from a lifelong evaluator. Theo is among the best in the business

It’s a compilation of many years inside this game. It’s not being a star most of the time so I had to observe every nuance and variation from the norm. It’s extreme insight and the ability to see layer upon layer of a game so complex that it mystifies most people..or maybe luck

No I am saying that betting on your own team doesn’t tell your bookie and ALL his gambling friends near as much about your teams chances as NOT betting on them. Maybe your closer can’t go. Maybe your best hitter has a bad hand. Maybe your starting pitcher is hurt. Inside info

You can book this. Ohtani will pitch again. If the Angels don’t stop him from throwing the splitter along with his curve and his high 90’s fastball. He will have another elbow surgery and will be shutdown for 14 months or so. Hopefully I’m wrong on this one. Great talent

The more quality baseball men you bring to the organization the better the team will be. Only insecure leaders are afraid to surround themselves with exceptional baseball talents. Great subordinates make a great leader

There are no miracles over 162. The best team in the division always wins. In a short series as opposed to a full season any team can beat any team. The Cardinals won the 2006 World Series after winning 83 regular season games. 12 teams that year won more games. Is this Rainman?

Decent idea. You younger folks will see radical change as the years go on. Bill Veeck was one of the most creative men in the history of our game but he ran out of time and didn’t have the money to implement all he thought about. The man was a genius

It worked out poorly and it was a bad idea. Only limited minds believe it’s the same thing that I am proposing. However if you believe that by all means go right ahead

Someone who has a different background from anything we’ve seen as well as an open mind. Baseball at times is so conservative it’s almost reactionary. When Selig proposed the Wildcard it was met with derision by baseball purists. How do you think the Nats view it this year

Life is not fair. Haven’t you figured that out yet. If a GM doesn’t win he usually blames it on the manager. Easier to fire a manager than to look in the mirror. That’s big league ball

Stats have a big place in the game but human intelligence will come back. What’s old will be new. What’s revolutionary will be commonplace. Nature of the game. Back to the future will prevail. Computers are here to stay. Let’s refine the data even further

There are nuances that help determine wins and losses. The players with high baseball acumen take advantage of these little things that really become big things in close games

He has a great chance to be a top of the rotation starter. His physical gifts are one thing but the most exciting thing for me is an advanced mental approach at a very young age. It will serve him well

Ice cream is good. Popcorn is good. Scully is the best that ever sat behind the microphone. Get some audio of his radio call and then watch his TV call. It’s pure genius. I’ve worked along side many HOFers. Vin is the best of the best

It’s actually the Greater Sucker Theory. You only need 1 team to believe they can’t live without Player A or Free Agent B and the big money and the long term contract is on the table. 250 hitters will get a bundle. Older pitchers with get 5 year plus deals that tie up payrolls

Jason makes no concession to what he was born with. His advice to anyone who seeks his council is to never let anyone tell you what you can’t do. It’s great advice to anyone and coming from one of sports great role models it rings true

I know......the evil corporations and the beaten down workers and making a profit is horrible and they vilify the poor players who cheat their way into big numbers and the game is awful. Where have I heard this before
