This is the most difficult year for recruiting in my tenure as a head college coach. With the new 5-for-5 rule, nearly all college players will have an extra year of eligibility. Do you keep/pay your 4-year guys, recruit a good 2027 class, or take portal/transfers?

I try to attend most state Legion baseball tourneys in Minnesota and North Dakota for the past couple of decades. I like to recruit those players, but, more importantly, I want to support the players, coaches and administrators and what American Legion baseball stands for.

Make it 5 former @UMCBaseball players or assistants, or both, either getting new head coaching jobs or their first head coaching job this summer. It has been a busy one. Congrats Parksy! fergusfallsjournal.com/sport…
