Initially published 7 years ago, the @studyforrest dataset is the 2nd most active dataset on @OpenNeuroOrg today (check it out on openneuro.org). Thanks y'all for the continued interest. Every day, the time spent on it in the past becomes more meaningful!
Thanks to Christian and the team at #studyforresthackathon you can now discover the dataset's origin at studyforrest.org via Google's dataset search: datasetsearch.research.googl…
Visitors who are unfamiliar with the dataset can see quick demos of various included data types and data quality metrics, like framewise displacement, on the new explore page: studyforrest.org/explore.htm…
This include access to various analysis result deposited on Neurovault 4/5
We will be highlighting the different hackathon projects and results on here. Stay tuned for a #studyforresthackathon recap and wrap-up!
Data needs maintenance to stay maximally reusable in the long-term. We brainhacked to keep data up-to-date with current standards, make original data and new extensions more findable and richer described, boost the website, and improve internal infrastructure for hosting & access
So why do we need a Hackathon to maintain this data - hasn’t everything (standardization, description, publication) been done 7 years ago already? 🤷
The studyforrest project is a collection of data acquisitions centered around the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump. It started in 2013, and, just like Forrest Gump, it has witnessed quite a few adventures…
