Got knee issues? 👀 Let me put you on to something I’ve used myself.
It’s called retro walking, basically walking backwards.
It works your quads differently from regular walking, and research suggests it may help improve knee pain and function in some people.
Here's a client of mine in the UK, using the treadmill because she doesn't wanna look like a clown on the roads (her words) but you can also do it on flat ground.
No fancy equipment needed. Just start slowly and prioritise safety.
Who knew walking backwards could be useful? 😂

THE MOST DANGEROUS THING ABOUT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
High blood pressure (hypertension), in many cases has no noticeable symptoms.
You can go about your daily life while your blood pressure is dangerously high.
Feeling fine does not mean your blood pressure is normal.
Let’s walk through some details

It depends on the specific generic you’re using. There are brands that come very close to Rocephin, if not being equivalent to it. Some multinational pharmaceutical companies also manufacture generic products that are equipotent to pioneer brands.
The term generic covers a much broader spectrum than many people realise. Roche can be the pioneer brand for one molecule and a generic manufacturer for another. The same applies to GSK and Sanofi. Does that mean the brand Roche is generic for is inferior?
Generic brands are not exclusive to indigenous pharmaceutical companies. Even multinational pharmaceutical companies manufacture generics.
In some cases, the same pharmaceutical company can market both a pioneer brand and a generic version of the same product. Augmentin and Clavulin are examples often cited in this context. Both are associated with GSK, yet Clavulin is a more affordable alternative to Augmentin.
The point is that generic medicines are not necessarily inferior simply because they are generics, nor are they exclusively produced by local manufacturers. If you don’t speak to a pharmacist, you won’t grasp some of these things.

It’s better to compare brands based on evidence of efficacy and quality rather than price alone.
Innovator brands invest millions, sometimes billions, in discovering new molecules, conducting clinical trials across multiple phases, and monitoring safety after launch. This process can take 10–15 years, and even with patent protection, some companies never recover their investment because of failed trials and unsuccessful products.
Generic manufacturers can then rely on the innovator’s published research and established evidence to develop equivalent products, often at a much lower cost, while meeting the required quality and bioequivalence standards.
Brand pricing can also influence perception. Imagine Augmentin suddenly dropping to ₦2,500–₦3,000. Many people might feel they had been overcharged and switch to generics, without understanding the research costs and failed investments that may contribute to the original pricing.
This is part of why discovering new molecules is so difficult for local pharmaceutical industries. Drug discovery requires substantial capital, research infrastructure, and long-term investment, often with government or institutional support. Without that capacity, many companies focus on compounding, manufacturing existing formulations, and rebranding rather than developing entirely new molecules.

The other doctor is talking about branded and generic products, while you’re talking about purchasing prescription-only medications without a proper prescription. These are two entirely different issues.
The pharmacist is not wrong. When the NDLEA carries out operations against community pharmacies, they sometimes use agents who pose as doctors or pharmacists to test whether these establishments comply with regulations.
A WhatsApp text message is not a prescription. A verbal request is not a prescription either.
A valid prescription has specific requirements, including the hospital’s letterhead, the prescriber’s signature, a valid date, and other details pharmacists are trained to verify. Depending on the applicable requirements, the dispensing pharmacist is also expected to retain the original prescription or a copy, alongside the necessary documentation in the poison register, where applicable.
The fact that other pharmacies have dispensed the medication to you without these requirements being met may simply be an act of professional courtesy, but that does not automatically make the practice right.
We need to separate what we want from what the law and professional standards require. This really isn’t that complicated to understand…and please stop embarrassing yourself on the TL.
