We’ve made it increasingly difficult for the next generation, across the globe, to imagine a normal life - owning a home, earning a decent living, and not being displaced by AI and robots. This is a global phenomenon. When an entire generation loses hope in the future, revolution becomes inevitable. I sense a global revolution is coming.

The story behind big layoffs like Microsoft, Oracle etc is that - All big companies are investing heavily on AI. For example in my company they're keeping a budget of $4000 per month per Engineer for AI models so that Engineers can use it and deliver work faster and with better quality. That's $48k per year spent on AI models and infra to support a single Engineer, if you convert it into INR, that's almost 45L Rupees per year, that means company is paying atleast 2 mid level Engineer's salary to AI models. Now whether the AI will be able to do work of 2 additional Engineers or not that time will tell but Companies can't keep paying to Engineers and AI both, so they're laying off massively. If AI delivers it will be great if they don't, the world won't be same again.

Corporate greed is Microsoft making $134 billion in profits last year, receiving $19 billion in tax breaks under Trump, paying a lower federal income tax rate than a nurse and getting rid of 60,000 workers. “Corporations will create jobs if they get tax breaks” is a total scam.

@AhmedabadBRTS @AmdavadAMC @AMCommissioner @HiteshBarotBJP

God forbid, if this country faces a water crisis in future, General Category will be left to die of dehydration.
🚨Gujarat govt announces ₹1,000 Cr subsidy for rooftop solar installations. To install a solar system in Gujarat: >SC/ST: Pay 5% of the cost. >General category: 10% of the cost.

Maybe I will always hate the fact that news outlets never understood that major news takes place outside Delhi and in the hinterlands and rural areas and they would conside the roles to be based in Delhi. God forbid I be never a part of the Delhi journo networks.

Rubio must be fond of Jamnagari Ghughra and dry-fruit kachori. That could be the only reason for going there.

At least 16 journalists were brutally detained while covering public demonstrations in #India. In addition to the four journalists already mentioned, RSF has learned that Anushka Bhardwaj (#BusinessStandard), Hritik Joshi and Rahul Charas (@NavbharatTimes), Shoaib Daniyal (#Scroll), Anshu (@newslaundry ), Saurabh Sharma (@Reuters ), Jagriti Trisha (BOOM), Shivang Shukla (Mo), Neeraj Jha (@moliticsindia), and freelance journalist Paranjoy Guha Thakurta were also forcibly detained in #Delhi, along with Kinjal (@AltNews) in #Ahmedabad and Divya Aslesha (Scroll) in #Pune. Covering events of public interest is not a crime. It is their job. The police's actions against the press are unacceptable.

Starlink-JIO saga: Who protects people? Oligarchs, Indian or American, on own whims or driven by political masters can halt system. They fuel regime change or help govt control democratic protests by shutting internet off. In both, people/country are hostage & they suffer.
Elon cuts off starlink access to Ukraine, massively degrading its war waging capacity.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Starlink access to Ukraine has not been cut off; service continues for government-verified terminals under the existing whitelist system, while Ukrainian leaders have recently requested expanded capabilities rather than reporting any shutdown. euromaidanpress.com/2026/10/05/ukr… newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/give-ukra… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink_…

I've seen many Rail Roko Andolans. But this one is a bit weird. People are doing Andolan. Govt is doing Rail Roko.

One important thing to understand is that the legal architecture around the right to protest in India remains colonial in its design, and the Supreme Court has been enforcing this colonial architecture since 1960. The Constitution did nothing to change this.

Sometimes, I get surprised with the data like- 1- South Korean market has gone up by 72% in this calendar year despite FPIs sold stocks worth $126 billion. 2- Taiwan market has gone up by 64% despite FPIs sold stocks worth $37 billion. 3- Whereas Indian market, FPIs sold shares worth $27 billion but market has also gone down by 18%. South Korean market is up by 72% despite FPIs huge selling, had anyone told you in the beginning of the year that FPIs would sell heavily, you would have not imagined that market would go by 72%. Sometime, data surprises big time.

It is quite the irony that just as electoral democracy is going through one of its darkest phases, the judiciary is headed by a man named 'Surya' Kant. #SIR #ECI #SupremeCourtIsCompromised
#BREAKING Counsel mentions #WestBengalSIR matter before #SupremeCourt, saying it was supposed to be listed today but has not come in the list CJI: Some matters were adjusted due to 7-judge reference tomorrow...now as reference [likely to be disposed of]...we will re-adjust some matters. Priority to part-heard matter Counsel: Now date showing as 8 October. 1.70 lakh appeals pending...there's urgency due to bye-elections.
