Imagine how terrible it's going to be for the one hiring. A flood of tailored CVs!
Someone on Reddit built his wife a job search app. She is a junior software engineer, and her job search had dragged on for almost 10 months. Tailoring a resume for every posting took ages. So he built Dossier. It finds postings, then writes a tailored resume, cover letter and email for each job, using only facts from her profile. It tracks every application from draft to offer on a board, and it runs on your own server, with a local AI model option, so your data stays with you. She landed a job with it, so he open-sourced it for anyone in the same spot. It is free at github.com/AienTech/dossier.

Absolutely... @profoundAIRep gets it done.
An AI assistant should get things done. Including hiring humans when needed. @shivanipod gets it.

Advice: *don't try this* dropout stuff. Life is as much about meaningless random selfless connections & moments as it is about purposeful pursuit of success. College fills up early years with random diverse connections, which is more powerful in the long run.
It's a minor trend, but I'm definitely noticing a growing trend of 16-20 year old founders who're skipping college and directly building a startup. I'm honestly excited about this. College has its value in terms of human-connect but I think we'll find better alternatives for it.

Having seen multiple changes in how software is written over the years, let me say this, we'll be okay. The feeling right now is stemming from: 1. Too many changes, I can't keep up! This is going to be the normal state - everyone just can't keep up with the amount of change that would be happening to code - at least not in the same way by reading it. So, ppl will find ways. 2. How do I learn? Most s/w will become about right foundational architecture but at this speed nobody will have time to teach, especially when competition is cooking at max speed. Ppl are on their own till the dust settles. 3. Too many bugs, everything is gonna blow up one day! Software has bugs, speed amplifies it. Teams will take time to setup tests, evals and gates. Will take time to settle. 4. I'm losing value. All the experience I got to add value to that code review, to ride the ladder, to claim the seniority is going away. This can't be right! I learnt how you "get" to be senior, now it's no more valid! 5. Software design is crappy, this can't work! A lot of "good" design was for humans writing & testing code. If AI can write the same function again and again from scratch, do you need reusability in the same sense? This will still take time to come to terms with! Heard it before - The software is gonna be shit because these guys don't even know how the database pools work, they just use a library downloaded from somewhere and it just works. This is gonna blow up some day! 😁
I am done with this shit. It is over. The state of engineering right now is horrible. It has been half a month since I started a new role at a big company. Nobody knows anything here. The specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets, resolution of those tickets, reports, etc., everything is made by Claude Code. Nobody on my team likes this. They are being forced to ship as much as they can. I have heard multiple times from higher management that pushing code is not a bottleneck, so why are we slow? People are working 12 to 13 hours a day just to press enter. Nobody is reading anything. Humans in corporate are doing nothing on their own. Everyone, literally everyone, from an L1 to an L7 engineer here is doing the same thing. Talk to Claude. There is no sense of victory. Nobody is resolving bugs. In reality, nobody is thinking anymore. Everything is done by LLMs. It is so soul-sucking. I would not mind it, to be honest, if we were at least given the time to check out the code and see what is going where. But no, the goal is to just ship. No matter what happens.

BLR mein party pagalpan badhta ja raha. My hypothesis is that there's a small set of these crypto-growth-hack-ai-wannables who organise these just to stay relevant thru parties. Stay away from these growth hack folks and don't give them visibility they feed on.
India’s first “Peptide Party” is reportedly being organised in Koramangala, Bengaluru on August 29, featuring “peptide tastings.” If this involves injectable peptides, is it legally permissible under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules? Has the Karnataka Drugs Control Department or Health Department and @BlrCityPolice been informed, and has any approval or permission been obtained for the event? The public deserves clarity on what exactly is being administered or supplied at this event and under whose regulatory oversight.

Big companies need brakes(checks and balances). Startups need accelerators. Know which vehicle you're in. When in a startup, be an accelerator; choose speed growth!

One of the most important reasons people want to work in startups is they get to work with best people in the trade in whatever they do! You get the front seat to - excellence being built scrappily.

As the management overheads go down because of AI, I see more & more top experienced executives and ICs starting up on their own in next couple of years. Good for the ecosystem overall.

Great to have backers like 3one4 to reimagine the future! LFG 🔥
Resumes and static digital profiles fail to communicate real-world judgment, working style, or professional context. While the volume of job applicants remains high, employers possess almost no reliable mechanism to measure actual competence in the machine-intelligence era. Profound addresses this systemic gap by establishing the trust and identity layer for the professional workforce. Co-founders @anujrathi and @sucoder together bring more than two decades of product and engineering experience from Swiggy, Delhivery, and Zomato to scale this platform. The company has secured a $1.5 million seed round with participation from 3one4 Capital, @Stellaris_VP and prominent technology founders including and entrepreneurs including @harshamjty, Co-Founder and Group CEO,@Swiggy; @nandanreddy, Co-Founder, @Swiggy ; Pankaj Chaddah, Co-Founder, Eternal (formerly Zomato); @harshilmathur, Co-Founder and CEO, @Razorpay; @kunalb11, Founder, @CRED_club; and Bhuvan Gupta, Co-Founder, OfBusiness among others. Every professional who joins Profound gets their own AI Rep. Created through a 30-minute voice conversation, the rep develops a continuously evolving understanding of a person's experience, expertise, judgment, working style, ambitions and context. The platform then will represent users with greater depth, identifies relevant opportunities, and facilitates meaningful introductions. Profound envisions a professional ecosystem where AI Reps interact with one another on behalf of professionals and organisations, enabling richer discovery, trusted introductions and new ways to build careers, teams and businesses. We are proud to back profound.me as they go about rebuilding the identity and trust layer for the AI-first professional world.
