Kudos to Dr. @GoenkaPk for his lead role in bringing BAJA to India 20 yrs ago, and constant support for it. The technocrat is pleasantly surprised that the initiative to generate interest in automotive engineering in #India has not only survived so long, but is thriving too!
Many congratulations, Team @BAJASAEINDIA ! Best wishes for the next 20, and more! The annual gruelling competition for engg students also has also helped automotive cos. in recruiting more industry-ready talent. Around 150k students have participated so far. #Automotive

“If my own children ask me in the future, ‘Should we become IAS?’ I will directly advise them, ‘Don’t become IAS’.” Sounds surprising coming from a senior IAS officer, doesn’t it? But Maharashtra’s IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe reportedly has a deeply personal reason behind this advice. In around 21 years of service, he has reportedly faced 25 transfers. Every move meant a new posting, a new city and another round of adjustments for his family. And the biggest cost was often borne by those waiting for him at home. His son had to change schools six times before reaching Class 5. Each transfer meant leaving behind familiar teachers, classmates and friendships, only to start again somewhere new. His wife, too, had to repeatedly reorganise her life around sudden transfers. Mundhe accepted these challenges as part of his professional journey. But he does not want his children to experience the same instability. Instead, he would prefer them to explore entrepreneurship or public leadership — careers that could allow them to contribute to society with greater independence. He has also encouraged Gen Z to look beyond conventional career paths, believing that young people have the knowledge, energy and ability to explore different opportunities. A 2005-batch IAS officer who secured AIR 20 in UPSC CSE 2004, Mundhe continues to serve the administration. In May 2026, he took charge as Maharashtra’s FDA Commissioner, where he has acted against food safety violations and illegal activities. His approach to governance remains firm: “Rules and regulations exist. We need an executive instrument to take them to stakeholders and implement them.” Yet his reported advice to his own children reveals another side of public service — the sacrifices that rarely appear in official records. 💭 For an officer, a transfer may be another government order. For a child, it can mean another school, another goodbye and another fresh start. #TukaramMundhe #IAS #IASOfficer #IndianBureaucracy #UPSC #CivilServices #PublicService #IndianMasterminds

Rest in peace Lord Jeffrey Archer. You will live on in your stories, and in the hearts of many 🙏🏼💐🙏🏼
He was the finest storyteller of them all. His books taught me that a story's first duty is never to let the reader go. He was the master of the twist, and he worked tirelessly at his craft, draft after draft, until each turn landed exactly where it should. He gave millions of readers the joy of not being able to put a book down. Rest in peace, Jeffrey Archer. Thank you for the stories.

Good to learn from D Thara IAS, Secy., Dept. of Capital Development, @MoHUA_India that the public green cover in #Delhi stands at 22%. It's more than the green cover level in #Mumbai. There should be a competition among the metro cities over their green quotient! #ICTS2026

There has been an uproar on what Kirti Sanon wore for an advertisement which was showing celebration of Rakhi - a Hindu festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. She has been accused of not showing cultural sensitivity towards the festival because her outfit wasn’t “appropriate “. Parallels have been drawn between if she would have done the same for an Islamic festival. Here’s a fundamental difference- Hinduism doesn’t prescribe a dress code - what we wear is a lot to do with regional culture, local customs etc. While Islam strictly defines a dress code. By that logic, Hinduism gives one freedom to dress according to what they feel is right. Altering one’s clothing choices is a classic decision women often make curbing their own self expression. There is disproportional scrutiny of what women wear!! And it’s a pity that the ad had to be pulled down because she wasn’t dressed right! It’s the male gaze that needs fixing.
