Britain's broken welfare & public service system leaves communities on the brink; it costs a fortune & destroys lives. But there is another way. Have a look at this from @ElephantsTrail changing lives in Greater Manchester by working differently 🫶🏻 theguardian.com/uk-news/vide…

This is my favourite question 🥰
Let’s be clear: if the Home Secretary cannot say that her Bill respects the fundamental rights of the most vulnerable in society, it. must. be. thrown. out. #r4today
Here are some ways you good folks can help:
@ZoeJardiniere hello! With the Tory policy announcement, do you have any suggestions on what the public can do to help?
Would love some guidance to direct my energy!

Happy new year! Sometimes it feels like only bad things are happening in the world. 2022 was a tough year for #humanrights. Despite this, human rights defenders continue the fight and thanks to them, we saw glimmers of light. Here are some of them! 🎉 crd.org/2022/12/31/good-thin…

And this thread explains more about why we do what we do…
Remember why we tell the stories we do...Imagine a world where gender stereotypes have no power? Imagine a world where kids are given the chance to truly understand themselves? Imagine a world where 'Man Up!' means nothing but 'Be Human, Be Yourself' does? #heforshe #mentalhealth

Lovely to see @the_kidsnetwork and @sarahmayw on @CheerfulPodcast.
This message feels doubly important in times like these:
‘Every time I meet a child I feel uplifted about the future; how much passion they have for making the world a better place.’

I love this on the power of @the_kidsnetwork mentoring. There’s clearly an amazing bond between LJ and Rhys and a great relationship with Teesha too.
Huge respect to @sarahmayw for creating such a beautiful and impactful idea.

I've seen this show 3 times now - live when Luisa originally toured it, when it was a series on BBC2 & now the updated post-covid special. It doesn't fail to make me laugh, cry & angry at those we trust to lead us. If you've got Prime video I highly recommend it. 👏👏👏

I watched this last night and it’s nothing short of phenomenal. I honestly hadn’t heard of Luisa Omielan before watching it but will always look out for her work now. I strongly suggest you watch her show, it’s incredible.
