As a pastor, I always assumed that people knew that they were weird. Everybody’s weird. Everybody needs everyone else’s grace and long suffering.
I was wrong. People are always surprised to hear that they are also weird and people are extending them grace all the time.

One reason many Evangelicals easily separate the President’s character from his policies is they’ve long been conditioned to separate character from belief.
For too many, how you live matters less than whether you believe the “right” things.
