Back in the fall, we took our pumpkin outside to watch it decompose in a garden bed. Well….look what we discovered today! We are so excited. @BeaumondeBHJMS Our learning has come full circle! 🎃

What a beautiful day today was at High Park Toronto! Thankfully, the rain held off while we were out and about exploring with the kindergarten students.
Today was the kind of day where you feel the learning happening. Here, one student chose to use a white board to show what she has learned about how to subtract and the other excitedly drew a “symmetrical” face. @BeaumondeBHJMS

When the std at the left joined our cls, we never thought we’d get here. He did not respond, play alone, & run away. W/patience of his peers, communication w/the family and unwavering support of our admin team, here he is engaged in play w/ peers. My heart is so full!!

While we were learning about seeds, we naturally discovered that worms live in soil and a whole new inquiry began. Here, we are discovering if worms like dry or wet surfaces and if they would be attracted to the apple slice! @BeaumondeBHJMS

Our seed inquiry begins. Students have been noticing that seeds are found inside and outside so we began collecting seeds and investigating them. @BeaumondeBHJMS
After learning about animals in winter, students were interested in learning about different animals like giraffes, zebras etc. so we learned about and created their habitat this week. @BeaumondeBHJMS
On our way back from our walk today, we were so excited to see a “real-live” rainbow! 🌈 @BeaumondeBHJMS
