Great to see @culverproject and Rob Wallace on Digging for Britain. I did weeks there in (?) 2012 and 2013, it was a lot smaller!
3/3 @BlackRock is one way of moving. Hopefully other FMs & industry players will respond. The door is open, who is quick enough and good enough to capitalise? I hope the UK leads, but see this from the US Dept of Labor recently: email.bt.com/mail/index-rui.…). (Hat tip @minerva_ESG)
2/x Important confirmtaion on there being no regulatory problems with "expression of wish". I look forward to full @TheFCA response to TPSVI report. Also imp. move from @BlackRock last week- they will let some clients instruct votes blackrock.com/corporate/abou…
3/x ... but also hopes for changes in attitudes. Some positions held by incumbents really don't work for 2021 and where pensions need to go. Undoubtedly complex, but UK sust fin sector really should be leading on this.
2/x but biggest thanks to the well over 100 people who engaged with us via interviews, call and consultation. Clear that growing momentum for change in pension scheme voting: new/evolving attitudes, new/evolving products. Taskforce recommends changes in regulation..
1/x Delighted that the taskforce on pension scheme voting implementation report has been released here: tinyurl.com/3vesmbz4 thanks to Sarah Wilson @minerva_ESG Janice Turner @AmntOrg @lnclements and @Maria_N_Doyle and team @DWP and @GuyOpperman
We've had over 130 responses to the TPSVI survey here: tpsvi.org/tpsvi-survey/
We know there are more coming so we're extending the deadline until 19th July. Thanks to everyone who has submitted. To everyone else, hurry up and have your say!
Delighted we've already had >60 responses to the TPSVI survey from asset owners, fund managers and advisers. Many thanks. They are are all "having their say about having a say". Survey is here tpsvi.org/tpsvi-survey/ Make sure your views are heard, deadline is 12th July.
Delighted that @RI_News_Alert published a think piece on the TPSVI survey tpsvi.org/tpsvi-survey/- I moan about people not speaking on the record, why is that? NB: Free to read (thanks Sophie!) responsible-investor.com/art…
I want to flag the survey that TPSVI has put out: tpsvi.org/tpsvi-survey/ We want to views from stakeholders of all kinds on pension scheme voting. Thanks to @lnclements and Sarah Wilson at @minerva_ESG for making it happen. Do it now!
He did make the ones we were helping who had come by car look a bit conventional....

3/3 and with my Taskforce on Pension Scheme Voting Implementation hat on, interested to see this bit from @BrunelPP. Owners have a key role in driving/facilitating the necessary change, and as first tweet showed, expertise does not always lie with the experts.
2/x @BrunelPP also remind us of a key problem:
Since the market is not pricing carbon risk efficiently market-cap benchmarks are a real problem.
1/x Enjoying reading the @BrunelPP climate change action plan report here: tinyurl.com/ruw2u6y9. Lots of good stuff. Love this on p13, unlucky for one FM:
3/3 Delighted to see @JohnGlenUK speaking. But Mr Glen, action needed now. Let's have a range of sust gilts as policy vision asks for. Let's hypothecate funds and drive change as we build back better.
2/x Doc lists @uksif member calls in e.g. just transition, net zero, inclusion and many more- lots to do. I esp. welcome call for UK global leadership. We can do this: world's leading financial centre, can do our own regs again, broad and growing public support. Think big!
1/x Reading the excellent, ambitious and wide-ranging policy vision from @uksif here: tinyurl.com/sejfa2ub
Excellent way to mark the 30th birthday! Congrats to @jamesalexandr and team
Simon Howard retweeted
"Because it’s clear UKSIF is more relevant than ever… doing crucial work in convening your members, and bolstering the UK’s leadership on sustainable finance." @JohnGlenUK
