Michaelmas gales assail the waning year, And Michael’s scale is true, his blade is bright. He strips dead leaves; and leaves the living clear To flourish in the touch and reach of light. Michaelmas: a sonnet for St. Michael the Archangel malcolmguite.wordpress.com/2…

What is a Saint? A particular individual completely redeemed from self-occupation; who, because of this, is able to embody and radiate a measure of Eternal Life. His whole life, personal, social, intellectual, mystical is lived in the supernatural regard. What is he for?

My child likes to give joke answers to the question "What is your name?" but today he hit us with "Name is... Saint Teddy!" 🥹

Just found what I am 100% confident is the best used book store in the US. Four stories of narrow corridors with no AC. Aisle lights are kept off to save money. I ended up spending $71.50 here.

Today completes the publication of "American Quartet" with what I hope is the best of the bunch, a poem simply called "1776." See link in reply.

Really appreciated this piece in @thelampmagazine from @BMcGrewvy on the wonderful experience of a literary childhood. I resonate with much of what she said and long for the days of sweet, uninterrupted bliss! thelampmagazine.com/issues/i…

My child has an abundance of toys, but what has he chosen to play with all day? A single shallot.

What questions! Come and feast on the answers at Pusey House!
Are Pilgrim's Progress & The Brothers Karamazov 'Christian' novels? If so, why? Because they present morality & mortality in a certain way? Can a novel be Christian even if its author is not? Can a novel be Christian if its story is a tragedy? Come & find out at our conference!
